Saw one fan giving giving clock guy some problems, and maybe one of the assistant coaches. Neither makes it right, but PA guy made it much, much worse. Classless. Clock didn't start until ball touched shooters hands after being tipped up and across the backboard. Unfortunate ending to a great game. The team manager getting in and scoring was a great moment.

I must add. The PA answer let the music pump for the last 6 seconds of the game, while the ball was in play. Thought it may have been a mistake, until I witnessed him dancing, laughing, and taughting the Scott bench. Classless!

Let me start by saying saying this was a great game for 32 minutes. With .9 left, Cooper down 2, at the line for the second of 1 and 1, they miss...ball is batted up against the glass from 6-8 feet away, ball is grabbbed and put in by Copper player. There is no way that all of this can occur with .9 on the clock. The ball was not tipped in, it was caught, and shot into the basket. Buzzer did not even sound until ball was going through the basket.

Boys Frosh and JV may have had different officials for the most part from the girls. Some of those that look professional had no idea what they were calling most of the time. Just seems like a lot of guys have picked up officiating in recent years that really don't know basketball. I applaud them for trying, but if you're as bad as some that I've seen this year, they really should think about trying something else.

Looks like breakdown occurred with the triple team on the dribbler, just before pass to the shooter.

Think you can go either way here. The "play" ended with a 28 footer with hand in the face. Got to give all the credit to the shooter in this case.

Okay. Watched the video, and it appears to have went in, and I definitely swing more towards Copper than CC. Not sure it has been mentioned, but that was a pass, and not a 3 pt shot attempt, therefore it should have only counted for 2 pts. Unless rules have changed, a 3pt goal must come from a 3pt shot attempt.

SK, over hyped as usual. These are games they should win at home. Beaten by tough, hard nosed defense. Holy Cross may be their only win over a 9th region team this season. Sad.

The Catholic Education angle is laughable! Parents deciding at 17 and 18 years old that now's the time for Catholic Education? It's all basketball driven, and the fact that NKy has a couple of fine academic Catholic schools makes it easier to transfer. And their basketball programs aren't too shabby either. I think Bishop Foys needs to step in! LOL

I may be wrong, but Hawkins seems to have matured at an earlier age than Bolden. As a 17 year old senior, it appears that Hawkins did not just show up this year with that body. Has he been this size for the last couple of years, maybe adding a few pounds? Point is, just because 2 kids are the same age does not mean they have both fully matured. Love Hawkins game and he may fill some nice minutes as a Junior or Senior with UK. I would describe Hawkins as an athletic, physical guard that may or may not contribute at UK, but only time will tell. Seems to be a great kid and I truely hope to see him get good minutes for the Wildcats. I would describe Bolden as an offensive skills phenom, who has 2 years to work on the few flaws he may have. Needs to grow a little and add some pounds and based on what I've seen, he's not done growing. Again, only time will tell with that. As a fan of Kentucky HS basketball, I hope to see both of these young men excel. I think we all feel a since of pride when we see a Ky kid playing on such a high level.

Sorry for getting off topic. So glad you're there to reel me in. My vote: Dwight Campbell. Sorry I decided to add some examples of his extreme jumping ability. And no, I don't have specific measurements on his vertical. I promise to stay on topic in the future.

Haynes was a great leaper, and he did not dunk softly. Great scorer as well. I remember watching Holmes vs Withrow, and they had two 6'7 or 6'8 players in the middle, one being John Jacobs that ended up at UC. In a half court offense, Campbell took a drop step into the middle and dunked over both their big men. I would say Cambell was 6'0, maybe 6'1 at best. If ESPN showed HS highlights back then, it would have definitely been in the top 10. Has to be the best HS facial that I've ever seen.

Arez Henderson and Dwight Campbell where the best leapers that I recall seeing in Nky. Although I did see Darrell Griffith for Louisville Male play in the Newport Invitational back in the 70's. I know he's not Nky, but had to mention seeing Dr. Dunkenstein in HS. Wow!
