Dixie Heights played a very good game and minus a few big plays in "isolated" man-to-man coverage ( which Cooper clearly took advantage of ), the Colonels hung with the Jags. This was a solid litmus test going into districts for the Colonels. Keep getting better boys! This team is in much better shape than they were a year ago this time... Prepare well this week and get ready to throw the kitchen sink amongst many other appliances at the birds! :lol2: Go Dixie Heights Colonels!!!

This game is a great barometer for Dixie prior to district games and this has always been a hard fought game. Doesn't have the teeth it had in the past with the Colonel move to 5A! Bragging rights are what they are but NKYBandit hit the nail on the head...there's not a whole lot on the line in this one... Go Colonels!!!

Dixie’s Torres runs over Scott

Play resumed this morning at 9a after last nights lightning delay. Jose "The Bull" Torres and the rest of the Colonel rushing stable picked up where they left off and continued to ground and pound. The Eagles are a solid football team. We all have some fine tuning to do before district games begin. Thank you to the Scott Football Family for honoring Dixie Heights 2015 grad Colson Machlitt pre-game last night. :thumb: Stay cool and have a good rest of the weekend folks!

Flip a coin...if Lloyd can establish the run and keep the Tiger offense off the field ( I like Lloyd ). If the Juggs cannot get adequate pressure on the Beechies QB and he has time to throw it around ( I'll go with the Tigers ). Durham and Burch will be fun players to watch in this one!

Colson was and always will be: a fierce competitor, great leader/football player, friend to many, and a lot of fun to be around. His sudden and unexpected passing is certainly sending shock waves through the Dixie Heights and Georgetown College communities. He will be greatly missed by many. Please lift his family and close friends up in prayer in the days ahead!
