Cooper is now 5-2 and travel to Ryle next. Side note alot of Cooper fans saying Conner is not that good they beat Dixie 40 to 8.

Back to the game. Dixie did a good job of putting some drives together and keeping Cooper's O off the field. A few throws were off early for Lonaker which are usually completed and the team played ugly football. Did enough to get the win as no one could guard Hendrix, but there is a lot of work to be done this week to get ready for Ryle! Win and move on, get better this week Jags!!

Definitely. Against SK it was more blown coverages and big plays. Tonight it was not very good effort all around from both sides of the ball.

Got to say I wasn't impressed with Cooper passing game at all tonight. Throws were high or too long, then again Dixie blitzed and blitzed in the 1st half. Cooper QB finally got smart and ran the ball and got some huge open fields runs.

 

IMHO the 1st Cooper TD wasn't a TD at all, as the receiver fumbled the ball and really didn't catch it, until he hit the ground and then it looked like to me and those around me that he was OB.

Dixie Heights played a very good game and minus a few big plays in "isolated" man-to-man coverage ( which Cooper clearly took advantage of ), the Colonels hung with the Jags.

 

This was a solid litmus test going into districts for the Colonels. Keep getting better boys! This team is in much better shape than they were a year ago this time...

He bobbled and didn't get get control until he was OB but the call was made the way it was. I actually saw replay after talking with the channel 5 camera man. He thought it was a bad call as well!
