  1. I could be wrong but I think Im right. b) TIE-BREAKER (more than two teams). Should three or more teams tie for the a district position based upon the win-loss record, the position shall be determined by the following: Says nothing about which places i) If one of the teams has defeated each of the other teams tied in games contested between them, that team shall be declared to hold the highest position, Not the case here each has beaten the other Newport over Lloyd, Lloyd over Spencer and Spencer over Newport. and the winner of the game between the remaining teams (if less than four) shall be declared the second highest position. In the event of more than three teams being tied, where one has defeated each of the tied teams, that team shall be declared the highest position, and the tie-breaking procedure shall be re-applied for the remaining tied teams. ii) If the tie remains, each team tied for the position shall receive one point for each game won by any four of their defeated opponents in all games, except for the games played between any two of the tied teams Lloyd has been in this situation a couple of times. Until we play Friday to see who wins this is all a moot point anyway.
  2. I just looked at Newport and Spencers beaten opponets games for this Friday. If all of Newports beaten opponets win Newport would get 5 more pts. Of all of Spencers beaten opponets only Henry and N Oldham have games ( and they play each other) left. This would also benefit Newport so there is no way Spencer can oust Newport in a tie. BUTif Lloyd beats Newport and Spencer pulls the upset over Mercer...Mercer, Spencer and Lloyd are tied and it ends up Mercer, Spencer,Lloyd and Newport. Not that this is likely..but it COULD happen. I guess we have to play it out before it is all said and done!:thumb:
  3. I just went back and re-added Newport and Spencers points. I was wrong!!!! Newport beat W Hills-2pts Dayton-5pts Ludlow-3pts Grant-3pts Henry-3pts N Oldham-0pts The top 4 give you 13pts Spencer beat Clinton-4pts Gallatin-4pts Jackson-2pts Henry-2pts N Oldham-0pts The top 4 give you 12pts. Im sorry I stand corrected! (I think originally I gave Spencer a W over KCD)
  4. This is from the KHSAA hand book. In our case Spencer beat Newport, Lloyd beat Spencer and Newport hypothetically beats Lloyd. b) TIE-BREAKER (more than two teams). 5. If Newport wins your right it is a 3-way tie. Spencer beats Newport in the tie breaker because they lost to Spencer. Newport would be on the road to Spencer and Lloyd goes back to Mercer.
  6. Your correct as usual Sandman. In a three way tie it come down to the "formula". 1 point for each win of 4 teams you defeated not including the teams your tied with. Lloyd's non-district schedule has allways kicked their butts in tie breakers. Newport and Spencer both have more points than Lloyd. I believe it breaks down to Mercer-20pts Spencer-16pts Newport-13pts and Lloyd-3pts. The only team Lloyd has beaten with any number of wins is Spencer and they cannot be used in the tie breaker.
  7. You really need to get out more. Its been too long since I saw you last. Good luck to the Pirates!
  8. I know last year when Lloyd went to Spencer the field was a little rough around the edges:sssh: I'm sure with the program in its second year its probably better now.
  9. This is a must win for the Juggs. If Mercer beats Spencer (and they should) and Lloyd beats Newport the Juggs will be the #2 seed and get Spencer at home again. If Lloyd loses and Mercer wins it is a 3-way tie for #2 and Lloyd gets the #4 spot and back to Mercer for round 1. I say the Juggs avenge last years loss and win 21-14
  10. Any tie for Lloyd is bad news! With only 1 non-district win (Scott) the Juggs lose any tie breaker.
  11. Seven Seniors, Four of which actually had playing time last season, doesnt yeild a lot of experience. Your right GT I think Grier weights 235-240 and then it falls off fast. I think Landers is next at a sevelt:LOL: 220. JJ Hall is quite quick and Cedric Walker is only a step behind.
  12. You know...it is what is! The KHSAA made it this way and like it or not you've got to play the hand your dealt. Everyone just needs to drop it and play football.:irked: I seriously doubt if Mercer wins the 2A state championship there will be an * next to their name on the trophy.
  13. Even in the the worst rout Lloyd took this year, (Bishop Ready 65-0 and I dont think any team in NKY could have beaten them) the Juggs never let up. They are a scrappy bunch and the defense gets better every game. I hope this game is a war and everyone leaves it all out on the field.:thumb:
  14. Final :dancingpa :dancingpa
  15. Nice site. Since the merger did the Titans get a new field? If not which field do they use Mercers or Harrodsburgs?
  16. I guess it didnt get hot enuogh early enough to grow well this year. It dosent really matter much now. It would be brown after tonights frost anyway.
  17. Yeah they did! The field looks worst than ever this year. Hard to imagine since the Varsity Juggs have only played at home twice. I know the Erlanger Lions play on the field as much this year as varsity. I guess the JV and Frosh games have taken their toll on it. Maybe Billy Lyon is gonna give the school a ton of money so we can get turf also! Yeah right! And monkeys might fly out of my butt too.
  18. For those of you that are numbers freaks Lloyd's opponets are a combined 22-27. Spencer Co.'s are 23-28. Looks like a dead heat there. If you use Henry Co. as All Play No Work suggests, Lloyd's O touched Henry up for 9 more points and their D gave up 21 less points. In a vacuum Lloyd should score 30 more points than Spencer Co. but we all know football is not played in a vacuum!
  19. This game should tell us alot about both teams. Last year Lloyd won 69-27. Spencer appearantly is much improved!!! Lloyd has had difficulties in non-district play but as NEERFAN said, they play a tuff schedule. Dince districts started the Juggs look much better. (partly more comperable competition and the young players getting some reps under their belt) I see this game either a low scoring battle or their gonna wear out the score board! Good luck Juggs, play tough and stay focused.
  20. I hope this means that all of the early butt whippings the Juggs took taught them something!
  21. Offense looked pretty good. Defense look VERY good. I think they had 7 interceptions. I know Smith had over 100 yds and Wright was close to it. Overall it was a good game for the Juggs. They played with more emotion than I have seen all season!
  22. You always hate to lose to Beechwood but I've known coach Rash for way to many years to be really upset. Hold your heads high Juggs! The Tigers will beat a lot of teams worse than this. Good luck Noll, you deserve it. After all, you were a Juggernaut before you were a Tiger.
  23. I predict a Beechwood win. Every now and then the Juggs will catch the Tigers sleeping:sleep: I dont think this is the year for that. If the Juggs keep it close and stay healthy in my book it is an educational win. This is a very young team and every week they will get better. I seriously doubt any other team in Lloyds district or 2A period (except maybe Belfy) could beat Beechwood when they are having a normal night. Good luck Juggs stay focused, dont get discouraged and stay healthy:ylsuper: PS Coach Rash I hope you have a great freshman head coaching year.
