  1. 1. Highlands- confident and playing well 2. Ryle- have been solid all year 3. Dixie- playing very well, solid pitching staff 4. NCC- Bartels and Cain solid 1-2 punch, Alex Grau being out hurts 5. CovCath- they're still Covcath 6. Beechwood- tough first round opponent, nothing to lose attitude 7. St. Henry- Kuebbing pitching would make them scary, playing well at the right time 8. Boone- won big games down the stretch, just cant see them winning 3 in row This is based on odds of winning 3 games:
  2. 33rd- toughest district to call. I say Ryle and Conner. Cooper and Boone are tough draws though 34th- Dixie/lloyd. I'm taking Lloyd in a minor upset of St. Henry 35th- CovCath/Beechwood. BW over HC in a tough first round matchup 36th- NCC/Highlands. Bellevue just gave CovCath fits so NCC better be ready. 9th region is wide open. Out of the 8 teams that qualify, 5 will have a legitimate chance to win it.
  3. Great game to watch. Birds held on in the 7th. Doty was sensational on the hill for the birds. This sets up a rematch at HP today against NCC. Should be a good one.
  4. What an amazing feat. Kid is a player and going to be fun to watch the next two years. :thumb:
  5. Josh Cain was good, got help from his friends behind him. Breds played super defense & had timely hitting.
  6. I would never count NCC's freshman out. In recent years they have been very successful come tournament time. Could someone please list the game times and locations for all games. I would like to make it out to catch a few games. This tournament is always a fun tournament to see. Good luck to all teams.
  7. Breds erupted for 6 runs in the 4th to take an 8-3 lead. Sophomore Brandon Gray pitched into the 5th inning, Nick Seibert finished the 5th inning and Colin DuPont closed it. Heppler started for covcath. good luck to the Breds in Lexington this weekend. Hope to hear they brought home another All A title.
  8. If newcath head coach would quit worrying about playing seniors they would be serious title contenders. Just watched them beat Brossart and seniors did not step up at all. I would think varsity baseball you would play your best 9. I not going to mention names but stats don't lie. Hard to watch!:no:ž:no:
  9. I would have to believe the pitching matchup will be Nate Verst and Josh Cain.
  10. Michael Bueter and Nick Siebert combined for the win. Breds were led at the plate by sophomores Zach Pangallo and Brandon Gray, who combined for 5 hits & 5 rbi's.
  11. Campbell was due to bust loose. They have been struggling.
  12. Looks like they are very thin. Tonight was hard to watch. Everyone isn't a pitcher as you can see.
  13. Breds have won 4 of the last 5 regional titles. 2 All A, 2 KHSAA
  14. Breds are 2013 All A champions. Will play Brossart for a trip to Lexington. Conner Bartels was dominant on the hill. Josh Cain closed it down in the 7th. Congrats to the breds coaches and players.
  15. Breds squeak by the Tigers. Breds continue to struggle at the plate. Sophomore Pangallo continues to lead the Breds at the plate. Cain pitched a really good game.
  16. Good baseball game. Breds drop to 0-4, have looked bad in all 4. I'm sure there are a lot of excuses on the hill. Too cold, not enough field time. Every excuse but the truth. Getting outplayed, out worked. Breds don't seem to have any chemistry or comraderie. Playing too laid back, hard to watch.
  17. Rod Snapp seems like a good choice to me. Very energetic, fiery and gets the most out of his players. Of course he also likes to bring the Ohio boys over to play. Only difference is he will get HC to the regional tournament.
  18. NCC basketball program is in good hands for quite a few years. Coach Collopy is the coach of the future. Being on the bench with Coach Dawn for a few years will only make him more prepared when the day comes for him to take the reigns. Anyone who knows Kenny knows he is going to be a fantastic head coach someday.
  19. NCC boys better be ready to get to work. Coach Dawn will be on a mission to bring home a 9th region title. This is great for Coach Kenny Collopy, who I'm sure is being groomed to succeed Coach Dawn in the coming years.
  20. 7 inches of snow Sunday through Monday. These fields may never dry.
  21. How about never making it out of your district in all your years at HC.
  22. 11th region is loaded. Woodford Co is #1 but they will be lucky to get out of their region this year.
  23. Might see Andrew pitching varsity this year. A week later he pitched in the JV regional and beat CovCath. Who was the NCC pitcher that threw the no no?
  24. What a game. Congratulations to Coach Booher and the Bulldogs. With Bolden and Englemon on the bench the last few minutes other players really stepped up. Good Luck in Rupp.
