  1. Google execs are sitting back and laughing today at Apple trying to play catch up.
  2. People do realize that Apple's product across the board has been inferior for about 3 years?
  3. St.Augustine in Covington 7th/8th grade program is ran by the Holy Name Society and not the school. It goes back to when athletics were banned by a priest at St.Augustine a few decades ago. I don't think this rule will apply to their Junior high team because it has never been ran by the school.
  4. Who is this ? What's his background.
  5. I also had a summer bday and graduated at age 17.
  6. It was common 12-15 years ago when I was in high school . It isn't that new . Parents should do what they feel is best for their child . I have no problem with it.
  7. I'm confused then so based on being born in July of 96 that means he will be 17 before he starts Junior year correct ? That is a year behind .
  8. I as well am confused by the "choice" for being born in July ? If you are born before October you are suppose to be in one grade? I never heard of the choice .
  9. Yes you do. I love to always hear the reason why people think they should have any control on where a kid attends school or plays athletics.
  10. What is wrong with what is going on now? Outside of the fact the KHSAA still has to much power on where a kid attends school.
  11. Who cares? Why should anyone care where a kid wants to attend a school? If there are losers out there willing to bribe kids to go to their high school let them waste their money. There is not much financial gain for spending money on HS recruits except at the elite level. Schools like Holy Cross, NCC, CCH, and Brossart aren't paying kids to come to school nor would they start.
  12. I could live with that because it is better than the rule now. I probably shouldn't of quoted you because I didn't disagree with your statements. I was talking to some of the people on this board who feel violated or offended because a parent wants to move their kid. Whether it is for athletic or education purposes , the only people who should be in that decision process is the parents and the kid. I crack up how people get offended by transfers .
  13. My understanding is the courts let KHSAA know they can't run their organzation like they were and KHSAA now realizes they have checks that are more powerful. I personally like how the rules are being enforced. The less kids being forced to sit out a year the better. A bunch of people around this state need to grow up and quit trying to dictate to parents where their kid needs to play athletics.
  14. Who is the burden off proof on in these cases? I honestly don't know. If a family moves and the burden of proof is on the KHSAA, it would be pretty hard to prove intent, without a smoking gun.
  15. Jeff colson transfered into NCC in 2001 his senior year after staring at grant county the year after NCC won the 9th is the last one I can think of.
  16. Coaches and schools don't own kids. A parent should send a kid where ever they think gives them the best chance to succeed . I'm on the extreme other end of this issue. I don't think a kid should have to sit out regardless of the reason they transfer.
  17. No reason to get defensive I grew up in Covington and when I grew up I thought the elementary schools were K-6 . I was just asking when that changed because I did not know it had. I know many successful people who graduated from Holmes and wasn't questioning the quality of the education. I was also aware those weren't the only elementary schools I was just giving examples.
  18. O I agree with you. HS athletics can be so petty and a decade ago I was probably part of the pettiness.
  19. Awesome. Well I can't wait for the next news you break that angers another school because the info got out.
  20. Fine choice but need to lose the coke. Anyone else have a problem with Clyde? Feel like a lot of anger being released. Clyde keep your head up.
  21. I'm drinking Bulleit following this, what do you have? By the way this is almost as intense as the Georgetown game.
  22. Serious question when did Holmes start having a 6th grade? I thought schools such as John G, Glenn O and Latonia Elementary were K-6?
  23. But Clyde who do you think are options. I was just brainstorming.
  24. I think its time HC looks outside. Fresh face fresh ideas. I think he is worth an interview. Throwing out new ideas. Public school head coaches are not coming to HC for the pay.
  25. Any ideas on who might coach next? I kind of think Holy Cross should look at Sam Elsbernd. Assistant at Scott former assistant at Holmes on the state title team. Grew up in Covington, went to HC feeder school St. Augustine so knows the system. Family went to HC. Young energetic coach with fresh ideas who has been groomed by two good head coaches . He also knows and grew up with a lot of former HC players. Could be the change HC needs. Any thoughts?
