None of this makes sense so I would shrug my shoulders also....

GRC vs Campbell will be a good one Friday night in the first semi final game. Robbie will have his bunch as prepared as any coach can have. Campbell better come ready to play. GRC will not be "backdoored" from a preparation standpoint.

Campbell couldn't really press until late in the game when they were in a double digit deficit because they were hampered with foul trouble most of the game. Too much of a risk to take to press when you have starters on the bench in foul trouble.

Those signs are part of a student section, they are not supposed to be students that set in their seat and have no swag about them. It kind of justifies why that section has been absent over the past few years at games. Kids are going to be kids. Its worth the price of admission to just go watch Cov Cath's section and not watch the game.

Bryan Station defeating Scott County has to be one of the biggest thus far!

There is always a Villanova or NC State type of game and team in the tournament. Last night that was Bracken and they fought to the end. It doesn't matter if you win by 30 or 1, its a win and you survive and advance. I agree that Bailey Cummins is very deserving of player of the year! I also believe that McNutt from Mason County is the unsung hero! Loved watching her composure in a big time, tight basketball game. She basically said saddle up team, lets finish this out.

Bourbon County and Coach Watkins will advance in this one.

Just by looking at the box score, looks like another difference in the game if not the biggest was the bench scoring by Mason County vs Bourbons. Looks like Mason got 18 points off the seats. Omara has hit her stride again, huge for Mason and McNutt has been solid all season according to the box scores I have looked at. Huge for the blue and white at this juncture of the season.

I have traveled around to many high school games over the past few years and the attendance at games is very, very disappointing- until I get to the smaller schools such as the bracken, augusta, robertson, bath, menifee games and those folks love their basketball whether the teams are competitive or not. From a economic standpoint and to put butts in the seats, the entire state ought to seed for these upcoming post season tournaments. Alot of the districts already do, but the ones that dont should! Just my two cents worth....

Congrats to Coach Cox! He will have the kids buying into working hard and competing at the highest level.

^^^ Are you serious??? That player will be real successful in life if his reasoning for not playing is because he doesn't like the coach. The kid couldn't possibly know him, the coach has been in town one day. If kids have this mentality now, they will never work for a boss when they have to work and not live off mommy and daddy!

jakeandabby- you took the words out of my mouth. How in the world can a team score that many points and then a poster say they didn't shoot well. They played a team that they overmatched on every position on the floor and shot layups which account for field goal percentage. I chuckled when I read the post.

I wasn't at the game, I was just asking. Although you did clear up one thing, Campbell doesn't have too much of a bench to let a press of Robertson County bother them( and that is no disrespect to Robertson County). I have watch RC play and they are not a pressing team with quickness. Thanks I4C for clearing things up.

How much did Campbells bench play in this game? I look at the scoring and their starters represent 89 out of the 97 points. Seriously in a 37 point win?

This will be a respectable game but Mason's depth will prove to be the deciding factor as the Lady Royals advance to the region semi's with a 62-50 win.

We must have watched two different games then! She was taken out in the first half for foul trouble, run back in for offense situations, and when dead ball whistles blew, removed each time on defense to protect her. Picked up the 3rd personal foul early in the third quarter and was removed. She was then removed out of the game after going 0-8 from the foul line down the stretch because it was obvious that Bourbon was going to foul her and she wasn't even close at the line. That might have been the shake up!

Skinner was never injured during this game. She was in early foul trouble in the first quarter with 2, other big for GRC picked up 2 in the first half as well. Skinner wasn't very good from the foul line. I think at one point in the 2nd half she was 0-8 from the line. GRC better be thankful for the 3 line in the first half with Taylor, Williams, Flowers or else this is not a 5 point lead at the half for GRC. On another note, GRC found just what they needed in a immediate transfer, what they were lacking, a guard that can handle the ball and score.

It will be a good bounce back game for Bracken as I don't anticipate much of a challenge from a young and more inexperience St. Pat team. As far as Mason County is concerned, this team after observing really is still searching for an identity and looks like they are truly missing leadership. They are talented and I hope for the best for them this season as well as Bracken.

Bracken had a great game plan and if anything could be taken away from the game from Bracken County is that they could have folded up the tent after the 15-2 start, being on the road and laid a bigger egg. They did not, while an inexperienced team, they can use this game to build on and get more game confidence. Second game in as many nights for Bracken, game was closer than the final score indicates.
