  1. Fuller 1-2 FT Garrard from 8. Paris leads 59-58. MC ball 10 second left.
  2. 57-57 w/ 57 seconds left in OT. MC ball
  3. OT 52-52 Paris led by as many as 13 in the second half.
  4. Free throw shooting has been awful in this one. I'd guess both teams are below 50%
  5. I expect Paris, Montgomery or Campbell will win. Hard to pick a single favorite.
  6. Garrard played against Bryan Station on Wednesday.
  7. Paris can clinch the #1 seed in the district with the win. With a loss Paris would have to win @ GRC and win a coin toss to get the top seed.
  8. 11 v 12 first round? Crazy Could be the two best teams in the state if Mercer Co and Dunbar make it.
  9. Trey Blevins for the award. Faulkner for best in the region regardless of class
  10. I haven't seen much of the region, but have been very impressed with Ware. Despite the hype for Hoptown's sophomores, he has stood out to me as their best player on the occasions I've seen them.
  11. If this is just counting seniors I think Fuller and Wilson are the top 2.
  12. He is good, no doubt, and a key part of Mercer Co's success. I just haven't ever seen anything to tell me he's a top 10 player in the state, and if being a top 10 player in the state is questionable, you aren't Mr Basketball. Doesn't mean he isn't good, just not the best.
  13. Carson Williams should be the favorite. I think he and Goodin are far and away the top 2 seniors in the state.
  14. Hager has never really stood out to me in the 4 times I've seen Mercer play. He's an All-Region type player, but i don't think he's an All-Stater (though based on his hype I expect he will be). Faulkner is by far the best player on the team, and I'd take Blevins as the top senior in the region.
  15. Sounded like Parsley was the key For the Indians as he locked down Blackburn in the second half.
  16. Rebounds per game is almost double assists per game, but total rebounds is barely ahead of total assists. Something is way off.
  17. Watching them play head to head, Scott Co dominated. I wouldn't be surprised if the outcome switched in their next meeting, but Scott definitely deserves the #2 spot for the time being. I know Bryan Station hasn't been playing very well of late, but I think they should still be a couple of spots higher.
  18. Fuller was fantastic tonight. As good as he's been all year, he may have been even better tonight. After GRC jumped to an 8-2 lead Fuller scored 7 straight, and Montgomery Co controlled the game from there on out. He also had some of the best passes I've seen this year. In the first quarter he split 2 defenders with a 35 foot bounce pass to hit Walker for a layup. He also had a nifty behind the back bounce pass to set up another layup opportunity. Combs also had a great game tonight, dominating the boards with what had to be 15+ rebounds. He also gave Cornelius fits, as the GRC big man really struggled to finish inside, despite getting good position inside. Jenkins played really well, especially in the second half for GRC. I don't think Montgomery Co subbed in the second half until clearing the bench with 1:30 left.
  19. Jones not playing for Montgomery. Fuller with 9 in the first
  20. Wow, two players combining for 37 and 35 sounds like complete dominance inside.
  21. Per the KHSAA Website that would tie them for the 10th most free throws made in a game in history (though those stats are certainly incomplete)
  22. KCD is a good team with a really good player in Mathis. It's too bad they had such a tough draw, but such is the fun of a blind draw.
