Yes she is. BOKC is run very well with the people that they have in place from SMG. They know what they are doing. Molly wants a first class operation but can only do what she can do with what she has to work with (NKU).

The district is being played at Holmes because it is their turn to host and they chose to play it at home which makes sense.

Well.............yes most gate but you have to factor in payouts to schools to determine if it is the biggest money maker. The bigger money events would not be sporting events though. Obviously NKU games do not draw as well and the regional is over many days. And having both boys and girls tournaments, some days may not make any money and you can actually have trouble breaking even on those days due to guaranteed payout amounts. It really is much more convoluted than a simple yes.

Obviously they are not the old wooden bleachers that could handle anything. And I agree that the jumping should be more tolerable. Meaning the structure should be better equipped to handle. But again that is not the fault of BOKC management that is an engineering issue and whomever built the place.

First of all this thread is dead wrong so instead of conjuring up negative comments about the BOKC management at least get your facts straight. Second of all, it has nothing to do with standing on the bleachers. It has to do with students jumping on the bleachers and completely destroying a section (not cracking it, not a small break). If a bleacher section costs 10,000 to replace then do you want that group to break it? Next it also had to do with a student grabbing one of the railings and shaking it so hard it cracked the molding and plastic that holds the railing in place. This student was stopped by BOKC managment and not the school administrator who was standing within 3 feet of him doing this. Lets stop with the "poor Covcath students" getting picked on by BOKC managment. They have caused some extensive damage and again this has nothing to do with just standing on the bleachers so lets get facts straight.

I like the way Newport is playing right now, but I have not seen St. Henry and they have some impressive wins. I think this game is a real unknown and either team winning would not surprise me at all.

Yes their are several in the program that have played Frosh and JV. As I said I would expect some to get some time as they develop as juniors. One thing I guess to point out is that many times when you have a program that has huge numbers kids do not get the opportunities at the younger age to play varsity as perhaps kids at smaller schools do. They have a very strong junior class that as sophomores were very strong as JV players. I am sure other schools have the exact same scenario just not familiar with those kids.

I expect Ricky Raisor will have a monster season on the mound. Kid has great stuff. Evan Slone, I think, while he has been really good, will have a monster season at the plate and on the mound. In mentioning Raisor there are some really good juniors at Highlands that have not had the opportunity due to all the depth the Bluebirds coaching staff is stockpiling. Do not be surprised, besides Mitchell Cain, if a few "football names" in the junior class do not contribute in a major way before all is said and done. These are not guys you will find on any lists due to commitments to football and also some basketball as well, but they can flat out play. Unfortunately for them Highlands talent pool is very deep. If their ever was a team that can just say "next man up" it is the Bluebirds. Kudos to JB for getting the program in this position.

I do not think it will hurt that the target is off their back. Last year expectations were outrageous for this team. And if you saw Trevor Booth in the regional game he really was a very underrated player for the Tigers.

I know losing a game usually does not call for congrats but I do want to congratulate Billy Rogg who is doing a really good job with the Dayton team. He works very hard and has kept the players working hard even when they started the season 0 and whatever it was. He really is putting effort into building the program as he is heavily involved from grades 3 on up. :thumb:

Campbell pretty much has the whole team back including pitchers I think. I also believe (and someone please correct me if I am wrong) but it shoudl be a pretty senior dominate team.

Coach Hurst was a fun coach to watch coach and was quick with the one liners. However, the man had really good basketball knowledge. He spent many years in the summers holding all nighters at Transy with Craynor Slone, Dom Fucci, and at least one Northern Ky. Coach who shall remain nameless. :lol2: Glad to see him being honored.

As an observer of Evan Slone only, I have seen him play enough that I can say he is definitely a next level player. With two years of high school left lots of time to get stronger. He projects very well as a middle infielder with his hitting abilities. Also, does well on the mound against high level summer competition.

Alex is developing into a nice player. What is his size?

If that is the case about Silver Grove then IF any of those guys were one of the 5 senior starters they might throw a wrench into the All A, that is for sure.
