Article in the local paper a week or two ago stated the August 29th home game would not take place at TC because the facility would not be ready. While the field looks great, the surrounding area still needs some TLC. I may try to post some updated pics over the next few days.

Even with over 2.5" of rain over the weekend, they were able to start sod installation on late Tuesday afternoon. These pics were taken at 9am Wednesday. More updates to come.

It's almost cliche' to say, but really the team building steam in February should be the team to beat. Only time will tell which team that will be. Most teams that are being placed at the top lost key players. There's plenty of time during the season to fill those voids. I'd gladly exchange two losses to a team in the regular season for a win against that team in tourney play. I told FBD yesterday that I'm ready to skip football and start basketball season.

Update on the new facility. Coming along nicely. Track has been paved. Sod will be put in place next week. Contractors are three weeks from completion. I will post some more pics next week. Should I include them here or start a new thread?

TC Track has been waiting for their much deserved home facility. I really can't wait to see it when it is finished. Over the last several years, Trimble County has installed new lights in the middle and high school gyms, took the floors down to the bare wood and totally refinished them, built a new baseball-softball-tennis complex and now the football-track facility. I have seen some crazy rains before and after the retaining wall was built. Trimble County suspended football after the fall of 1984. It was good to see them bring it back.

August 29 seems like a tall order. However, progress has picked up nicely over the last few weeks. Contractor states the field will be playable around 10 days after sod is in place. That doesn't seem right.

Raiders will be playing this year at their new facility. It is coming along nicely but I'm not sure it will be ready by the home opener on August 29. Looking forward to seeing the completed project.

This was done before UK got their new floor. I can personally attest to the fact this was done in the mid to late 1980s. Old threads on this forum and others also refer to the shorter court for KHSAA boys basketball tourney. They were able to take out sections between the free throw circle and half court on both sides to get the proper length.

I'll be interested to see how things go for NKU and NKy. One thing to consider is how much of the entertainment dollar stays in state. In BG, people are staying in and around BG and doing things nearby. I'm sure there are a few that make a quick trip to Nashville because they're close. How much of the entertainment dollar will go to Cincy while the tourney is hosted at NKU? I don't know the figures, but the state will lose some money to Ohio. It would be nice to keep the money spent while not at the tourney in the state.

I thought the same thing. I did some research and at one time, they did. It's been well over 10 years since they've done that. They now play on the full college length floor.
