Fire Inside

Congrats to all the winners. Hard work pays off.

Bracket are correct per pre season AD meeting. They change every season so each class doesn't alway have to face the same group of kids every year in the tournament. Anyway way would you think district teams would be on different sides? You should never have two teams in the same district able to compete for the title.

The regional boys brackets have been posted on nkmsa.blogspot.com

I heard a parent for Grey had to be escorted out? Any details on that?

Great night of 8th grade basketball. Ockerman beat Gray on last second shot. Tichenor beat Conner on last second shot. Summit View beat Turkeyfoot by 15 plus and Campbell County beat Holmes. Regionals are at Conner should be a fun week.

Carson Williams then probably Ben Weyer from NCC.

Didn't hear anything about the threat, that shouldn't happen at any level. Sounds like SV AD has a lot of class to call and apologize, I hope Woodlands done the same. Woodlands parents were just as bad as the SV parents. I have no dog in this fight my kid goes to neither school. I was just saying from a non-bias point of view both sets of parents for lack of a better word were "redneck" in their actions.

Holmes.

Who do you like to get POY for the 8th and 9th regions. Sampson for SK has to be on a short list for the 8th region. 9th is a little more open with Hatton, Boldon the gurds for Cov Cath and the bigs for NCC, not to mention HC big man. Wow there is a lot of talent coming out of the 9th this year. Can't wait for regionals.

I disagree. Played great D and have several steals and key rebounds. He found way to have a very positive role on his team with his shot being off. Hats off to that young man, I hope some younger kids was watching that.

I was at that game for most of it. I thought both parents were pretty redneck to me. Wasn't to one sided, but that is just my opinion. What is up with SV bench, look like they were missing at least two starter and a few other players? Maybe had 8 kids total playing. Has Coach Hawkins ran them off

I offered to keep a updated website for basketball. I received no response to the powers that be.

Last week of the regular season. I would like to say congrats to all the 8th graders as they have their 8th grade night this week. Some may have already have theirs and I congrats them as well. Look forward to watching this talented group move up to freshman and beyond. TUESDAY 1/22/13 Conner at Grant Co St. Pius at Ockerman Ludlow at R.A. Great game last night at Conner in the 8th grade division against the undefeated Grey Gators. Grey defeated Conner by 13 pts in a great game. Grey PG Cheesman picked up his 2nd technical foul of the season. Young man better be careful not to pick up a third technical as Grey has a three technical and your off the team rule.

Yes and was a non factor. His shot was short all night. Sampson had 29.

So that helps him his senior year not his sophomore. 62 is a great accomplishment, it doesn't matter if he has been held back. Most high school kid couldn't score that many taking that few shots if they were 18 playing JV still. But instead of patting this kid on the back we want to complain about a kid being held back.

Is scoring 62 as a 16 year old less of a feet than as a 15 year old? Being held back only helps in middle school not high school. Cameron can play, period. I have seen him play for three years now. He scores off the bounce with a jumper, off a screen or taking it to the hole? He guards well and rebounds well too. Throw in he shoots over 90% from the charity stripe and he is about as complete of a player as you will find.

Brossart looked good last night against PCC. Brossart is welled coached and ran good sets. PCC looked out of sync with their new addition playing. Beverly looked horrible last night. Turned the ball over and missed shots that he usually hits in his sleep. He air balled a wide three attempt. I can see Brossart getting to the finals.

Holmes, Dixie and SK. I believe they have one loss between them, could be wrong about the record. But I know I'm close. If Arnold plays for Holmes he doesn't have an equal at this age level. He plays varsity too so it will depend where they are playing. Dixie has some nice guards forget their names. SK is balanced and gets scoring from several players like Colten Downs, Austin Freeze and Cameron Racke.

What is Holmes 8th grade doing this year? I heard Tichnor beat Grey 8th grade by 1 last week? Huge win if it did happen.

What about the Lloyd tourny?
