Sullivan is back at Walton.

He better with the rest of the starting five on crutches. Nick Ayers out for the season with a torn ACL, big loss for the Neers.

Grey 8th beat Summit View last night by 20. Grey has great size, starting three players over 6ft and bringing one off their bench that big. Cold night shooting for SV as Hawkins and Cottrell struggled shooting the rock. Cheesman really makes Grey go, very nice player. Grey should run the table this year.

Sorry, I pulled this off the website. I guess some games have changed.

11/15 games: Grant Co at Woodland Gray at Beechwood Ockerman at Turkey Foot R.A. Jones at Twenhofel Summit View at Camp Ernst Tichenor at Newport Conner at Campbell Co IHM at Sharp St. Pius at Highlands

In 8th grade tonight, Conner beat Newport 53 to 21 and Summit View beat Grant County 60 to 32. In 6th grade I heard Twenhofel beat Camp Ernst by 4 in overtime. That's all I got.

At the 8th grade level last night, Ockerman defeated Turkeyfoot by 5 or so and Summit View defeated Walton by 20.

11/13 Games: Summit View at Grant Co Woodland at Gray Beechwood at Ockerman Turkey Foot at R.A. Jones Twenhofel at Camp Ernst Newport at Conner IHM at Campbell Co Sharp at St. Pius Holmes at Tichenor

I wasn't speaking of SK I was speaking of 6A football. I am not trashing any program at all. I have ties to no program in NKY yet, my kids are to young. I was just making an observation coming from a single A school in Eastern KY that was very successful in football in the 90's. As a single A alum, I know how successful we were but I also know that we wouldn't have competed with the Trinity's or Male's of the state. I just think it comes back to big fish in a small pond. Doesn't make you a bad team or person. But for the kids that choose not to transfer to one of these successful smaller schools and choose to compete at Boone, Campbell and SK it doesn't mean their better either or that they swim in a overhyped farm pond.

Why is it greener pastures? Single A football is nothing compared to 6A football. Not saying Beechwood isn't a great program, they are. But it is big fish, small pond in my opinion.

In the 8th grade, Grey is probably the team to beat with Brett Angel, Cheesman and the other big kid that plays with the Legends Elite. Ockerman will be solid again adding Sean Mcneil to mix. Connor has a bunch of athletes to go along with Spencer Hemmerick. Twenhofel can't be overlooked now that Cameron Racke is off the SK bench and back in middle school ball. Cameron is easy the best player now in NKMSAA. Summit View will be alright with JC Hawkins and Timmy Cottrell. 7th grade, I look for Connor to take a step back this year. I believe they only lost 2 games last year. Their guards haven't grown at all. I look for Camp Ernest and Ockerman to make some noise in the Boone County area. Adding the Lay kid to Camp Ernest will help them a ton. Woodland will go as far as the Nelson and LJ take them. They have a ton of experience and are use to carrying at team. Let the fun begin!!

I was told yesterday that Cole was giving up football to concentrate on basketball and that is why Racke is going to Cov Cath next year. Take it for what it's worth but came from a Cov Cath guy with ties to football program.
