Fun game. Now sure how Owen stayed in it other than toughness and guile.

 

SK ran about 9 guys in and out. OCs two bigs played all 36 minutes.

 

SK was up 6 with 40 seconds left in regulation. Missed shot. Intentional foul on SK which resulted in 2 points and then a basket by OC.

 

Sampson was really good.

Sampson had 27.

First time seeing frosh Carson Williams fro Owen. Kid certainly has a nice future. Big and strong with solid ball skills.

 

One thing I noticed is his aversion to spinning with his left shoulder when he catches the ball on the right block. He actually turned some easy shots into hard shots because of it.

 

I will be interested to see how his body develops over the next 3 seasons.

He's a matchup problem for many teams.

I was surprised at their depth. They have a lot of kids that can play on both V and JV.

 

Offense wasn't great other than Sampson and a few key shots by Robinson. FTs are a problem.

 

They play really hard and physical D.

Rough night compared to what I understand is his normal performance.

Usually a solid shooter, can attack, defender, and seems to be a heady player, smart. From the bit I've seen of him.

FT% is 62% which is concerning. The good thing is that Barnes and Sampson are shooting 74%. A huge discrepancy in attempts, Sampson leads with over 120, Barnes is second with 41 but has played nine less games.
