  1. Camel Pride ‏@CamelPride Live Score: Lady Camels 50 - Nicholas Cty 45 with 3:00 left in the game and Siegmundt headed to the line to shoot 2. Go Camels!!!
  2. Thanks so much for the kind words:) Although I am thrilled to see her on the mound, I am most proud of her as a person, as a student, and as an athlete...she has a 4.7 GPA, straight A's and will have almost an entire semester of college finished before she graduates HS...can't complain about that:)
  3. The KY Krushers are a 10u club in NKY...you can find them on OFC
  4. Thanks:) We always hope for a great season:) I try not to let them get under my skin...just the "mother bear" coming out in me! LOL I just hate that I know for a fact that PLAYERS read this crap and I just want to keep it encouraging...they know what they need to do this season:) I like a good laugh once in a while too:)
  5. I don't know of anyone NOT coming back that will be missed...the JV girls moving up had a winning season last year and will make a difference this year...you two need to take the "Camel" out of your names:rolleyes: I think realistically, the Lady Camels have improved and continue to improve each year...I believe we will be more competitive this year, but what hurts us the most is we have the least number of girls around here playing summer ball. Only having one NKY based 16U travel ball team really hurts for those that have to put a limit on their travel times:( Your most competitive teams all have ONE thing in common...travel ball...just my two cents. Go Camels:ylsuper:
  6. I don't mind his win reports...I just hope that they are not DAILY! LOL
  7. Could someone forward any info on this...we're in it and don't know anything about it...yet:D We'd like to know how to order shirts and such:) Brackets would be great too:)
  8. No numbering this year. They each got a "report card" which I found very helpful. Showed the girls their times on mile, homer, home to first, sit ups and push ups along with the national and team averages for all those. Also "graded" them on several aspects such as hitting, catching, bunting, throwing, fielding and such. Let's them know where they are and what they need to work on. Very nicely done I think, nothing to complain about. I'll be the first parent to point out my DDs strengths and weaknesses...I think you do them a diservice building them up to be the "best on the team" if they are not...I am proud to say we'll be sitting in the stands again this season counting pitches...it's the only thing that keeps me quiet! LOL Can't wait for March 6th:)
  9. Advice is advice...not orders:) LOL I find this all very interesting and informative and my dd does not want to play D1:) Looking forward to more tips for the other divisions as well. I can tell, you as the parent of a HS player since 7th grade NOT on a travel team, that we can take all the help we can get...nobody seems to know anything about any of this where we are:) Keep the info coming:)
  10. I guess I should say this...what about the kid that doesn't play travel ball, but has a strong interest in playing NAIA or even D3, that has OUTSTANDING academics and just wants to play ball and more importantly get an education...is there a chance for this kid?
  11. Is the process basically the same for all schools across the board, i.e D1 vs. NAIA? How do they differ and what should soph's be doing or trying to accomplish?
  12. Great idea for a thread...love it!:ylsuper:
  13. :rolleyes:Please... Are we really gonna start this again this season? Give it a rest. Let's just enjoy watching the girls play and discussing it constructively afterwards:D
  14. Really? Nothing? NO opinions? BGH where are you??? LOL When we have a roster I will update info for CC. Interested to see everyone elses updates:)
  15. oh no....its back.....interesting combo for the screen name.
  16. I will throw Lily Rebholz in there from CCHS...will make a great varsity catcher this season:)
  17. So what's up with all the 10th Region teams this year? We are still in the try-out phase, itching to start practice:) Any up and coming young players to watch out for...any great match ups....what are everyones thoughts? I'm already ready for the Mason Co/CCHS rematch, I think in our second week...that one still stings:cry:
  18. Something tells me that CCHS and BBHS would NOT be for that idea:) LOL All in good fun, of course. I feel that the main "problem" with this league was the fact that it was a mixed league of slow and fast...my kid started fast at first grade, so all was good. Tons of other girls played slow til 6th grade, then couldn't make the switch to fast and struggled with it...hence the non competitiveness for a few years that I saw. The girls got frustrated and didn't have a choice once they reach high school, so they quit. I see a change in this now with friends kids, it will just take time. I am hoping for more games this summer from this league, keeping our fingers crossed:)
  19. not a slam at all...my oldest has played in that league since 1st grade and my youngest played two years...merely stating that we didnt play many games last year and none at nku. BIG change this year from years past in organization. im sure whoever runs in puts time in, but i didnt feel the league was that competitive. I was saying that nky needs more than one travel ball team for girls, in my opinion. not all of us have the time or money to travel the countryside and invest thousands so our kids can play the game they love...id like to see the ccrgsl run as well at the older level as it does for the younger girls....it just didmt have the same feel as in years past...just my opinion;)
  20. we don't play at NKU anymore...played in visalia and CCHS...we only had like 6 games...not the best league when your kids get high school age:( NKY really needs something for these girls that can't play travel ball.....just my two cents:)
  21. Thanks for the clarification:) I wish our school #1 coaches who had time to work with the girls off season #2 an AD that advocated for ANY girls sport and #3 gym time in the off season....just a little rant there. I know our coaches do the best with the time they have and the facilities they are allowed...no complaints there. Just wish these girls were given the same priority as the boys...we have three girls, so been there, done that:)
  22. maybe im reading an old rulebook? just looked it up today...it seems a shame that so many schools do next to nothing until january or february when sooo much progress could be being made....
  23. am I stupid, or isn't organized practice not allowed before tomorrow? Conditioning, I can see, but these teams have been batting, tossing, etc. since school started???
  24. thanks! That's what I was looking for, the new website threw me for a loop:)
