  1. She's worked a bunch with Chip...we love him but were told it's a conflict of interest since shes in high school now and he coached for NKU?
  2. Freshman in her third year of HS pitching, first year being main JV pitcher, varsity relief....needs to learn other than two pitches and gain speed and strength...used to paying between 30 and 50 bucks an hour so no surprise there;)
  3. Looking for a nky/cincy area coach that will work with a pitchers existing style, not totally try to change it up...can't seem to come up with any suggestions. Must be a well kept secret? Thanks for any ideas:D
  4. And....dang it if they didn't break our hearts AGAIN with another one one JV win:cry: good games and some great defensive plays by Bracken!
  5. Our frosh team is eighth and ninth graders...our JV team has a freshman and 8th grade pitcher, and an eighth grader at 3rd. Our varsity has a freshman relief Pitcher, and 8th grade IF starter and several freshman subs. Yes, we had a bad game against Scott...the girls will tell you that. It was not indicative of how much improvement these girls have shown this year. I predict that our JV team will be hard to handle as a varsity team in the coming years....we'll see. I'll be super interested to see BBHS pitching in action...they seem pretty equal to CCHS....not overwhelming speed, but effective pitching...defense seems to be the nemesis of both teams....should be a great set of games thursday...I'm sure we'll all read about it, one way or another:rolleyes:
  6. What a great night for a freshman double header! Eagerly awaiting the battle between the JV and Varsity teams next week:thumb:
  7. Of course we ALL worry about the score....isn't that the point if competitive sports? Otherwise we might as well go back to tee ball...no outs, no score:eek: My point was that there was a lot of good softball being played and I'm proud of how the camels did with two young pitchers....
  8. I'm sure if it had been Brossart leading, the game would be considered complete:) Oh well, we'll meet again...I believe the freshman showdown is this week:)
  9. All but the last set of games were played. CC beat BB 5-3.
  10. Like I said....entertaining. Proud of our girls for sticking it out in the rain for the win against a good rival:)
  11. Well, although a cold soggy day, all in all, a fun day to watch alot of softball being played. There were a few entertaining moments near the end and alot of good softball and good teams:D Wish the rains would have held off for the last round of play....
  12. I can't speak about NDA, but Campbell County's team is our eighth and ninth graders only. Some of the girls do play JV some do not...one of our eighth graders starts varsity. The pitchers for each game were one 8th and one 9th grader.
  13. Congrats to the Lady Camels on a nice performance tonight after the rains:)
  14. Yes, I shouldnt let it bother me...but the girls on the team are aware of these posts and read them...and when we have one frosh pitcher, one JV and one Varsity, it's not too hard to know when your being called out and camelbump likes to let our girls know that she thinks they ALL suck...except her and her kid. I will be the first to admit that my kid is not a superstar pitcher...she's a good pitcher that is getting better every game. She taught herself how to pitch from a dvd and She works hard every game and takes it extremely seriously. WE do not have the funds to pay upwards of fifty bucks an hour several times a week for a private coach. No, she does not live softball, but she gives 110% when she is on that field. And yes, I know that she will have to deal with these kinds of idiots all her life...it just think it is PATHETIC that camelbump thinks that this is humerous...I wonder how she would feel if I found out who her kid is and started critiquing her? I just ask that camelbump stops posting if all its going to be about it bashing the camels. and I'll leave it at that...as for myself, I will start my own posts about the team and ignore her...otherwise if I found out who she is you might have to restrain me:eek:
  15. until you start paying for my kids pitching lessons, its none of your business who her coach is...and until you are her coach its not your place to say whether shes gifted or not. Ive really had enough of you...i think we need to call a parent meeting or have you suspended for stupidity at least....maybe ill start bashing your kid...oh wait thats right...im an adult!
  16. #1. You don't know anything about our pitchers. Both work hard in season and off with pitching coaches. They are both working on new pitches this year but more importantly hitting their spots, improving consistency and not walking batters. #2. Fast pitch softball is not about striking out every batter you face. That is not realistic. You get it over the plate and if they hit it...you rely on your team for defense. Our three pitchers are 8th, 9th and 10th graders and they are doing a great job...our losses have come from errors in the field...not poor pitching. #3. if you can't say anything nice...don't say anything at all. I don't think I've heard you compliment the Lady Camels on one single thing this year...oh and we play a doubleheader Wednesday so not all the girls are on :rolleyes:vacation.....
  17. Now THAT'S something I would pay to see:lol:
  18. big shock there...now you're unsatisfied with our players at every position? Get a life....
  19. You need to shut up already...it's getting really old..you probably weren't even at this game....
  20. What a good game! We're still thawing out from the JV Battle Royale! Ha. Wasn't pretty but could always be worse....
  21. WE are not ALL like that....we take what we have and make the most of it...we get over it...we ARE over it. Camel bump is on her own:rolleyes:
  22. I can answer this!!! Guy or girl....hmmm. I think guy. With child....no. All parent like it? NO not even close...no one agrees with it. Daughter at CC? Possibly but not on the current softball team. Evidently this person is too much of a coward to tell anyone the truth and has entirely too much time on it's hands...
  23. Hmmm. I'll have to remember "construction criticism" if I ever meet you. I'm curious to hear from you what's so crazy about this team this year? Saying you wish we had her back is nothing but a slam to the Lady Camels JV and varsity pitchers...in your own way. Funny how we are the same age and both went to CC but I don't remember you...oh...that's right....because you aren't who you say you are.
  24. Like I said...come out of the closet already since you like to run your mouth so much..you sure don't want to say who you or your daughter are. My daughter has been on the team for three years now and I don't recall ever meeting you...I would say you would be hard to miss seeing as that you are soooo knowledgeable about the game and your daughter is soooo talented. My point is....stop bashing the team...obviously you weren't at the parent meeting where we were told NOT to do that exact thing. These girls are doing the best they can, and learning along the way. Whether you liked coach Lambert or not...it is what it is. GET OVER IT and cheer on the Lady Camels. Personally, I am proud that my daughter is a two sport student athlete with a straight a average, taking advanced classes. She is not a professional player being paid to play, so let them be kids for pete's sake and quit being such a "debbie downer".
