I have watch ihigh.com some too, I think that is great idea. Most schools have websites nowdays, how hard would it be to pay someone a little extra money to download all of their baseball, soccer, football, basketball and all sports games to their sites. I just think it would be great exposure for some of the kids on all the sports teams that dont play aau to get some great exposure, who knows if it helped one kid to get a college scholarship it would be worth it. Plus I am sure there are some tax paying grandparents, fans etc that cant make all the games due to work, health or whatever the situation may be. Plus I think there are times when kids, coaches and even refs dont always bring their A game, it wouldnt take long for word to get out the games were on the internet and that helps EVERYONE to bring their A game. Plus I might be a little bias but what great exposure it would be to show the Ky sweet 16 on the internet, I cant imagine many high school tournaments that bring that kinda exciting crowd. I think it would great exposure for everyone, just a win win situation for everone. I understand not posting the games live but I cant say how anyone would have a problem with putting the taped games on line.

Purple pride I dont know very many of the refs names but there are some in the 12th that are as good as anywhere. Of course there are always gonna be different opinions in games, with all the games you see on youtube, I never understood why no one puts games on youtube. I am sure all the games get taped, maybe its a khsaa thing or something or maybe no body has took time to do it , maybe someone can check and see if there is any legal issues. I think it would be great to see the games on youtube, it would give the kids that can play some great exposure and when there are different opinions of how games are called it would be right there on youtube for everyone to make up their own minds.

I agree whatever team puts it together for 4 or so nights will win, some teams change over two or three months so it could be a team no one thinks will. But I think that is why its good for all these teams to play in tournaments through out the year, I think that helps them.

I also dont think the Karma thing, I was at the game nobody wanted to be there. Keep in mind that team has lost SEVERAL 80 point games, and this was their second game of the day. Southwestern tried to cancel that game but Riverside said they had to have the money. If you truly feel bad for them I challenge ya to send them a donation like several of the people in Pulaski co have. They were a fine group of young men and I certainly admired them, they were EXHAUSTED but kept doing their best, I certainly admired those kids and hope everyone on here that can give their school a donation will do so!

Marron fan I would agree with ya Russell Co is a pretty good team, it should be a fun game to watch when Pc plays them. Both teams shoot the ball very well, should be one of those fun games. They do hit the boards very had, maybe even a little harder then Pc, you better tell your guys they better get out on the shooters and hit the boards hard.

I said before I would not put too much into the Mercer-Pulaski score, its a fact that most of the times a team has a big hyped up game they come back the next game and are almost always flat. I havent seen Pc play alot, but I do know they are a jump shooting team and do it very well. They have lost a few games that have surprised me, but jump shooting teams can be on and destroy teams and when they are not on have their hands full with average teams. With that being said, Pc very well may be able to put in a great shooting night in the region tourney and if they do will be very tough to beat, but if the jump shots are not going that could present a challenge for them, maybe that is why they have had some great games then some mediocore games, but somebody else that has saw the games they lost might be able to give us some info?

Thanks purple pride, I do enjoy looking at some of your post, you seem to be knowledgeable and I do like reading your post. None of us on here are gonna always agree with each other and thats fine, I dont want anyone to ever think I am attacking anyone personally. I know refs are just human like everyone, good days and bad days, but most of them get paid a small amount to take their time and efforts because they like the sport and enjoy seeing the kids grow up and become good men. Thats admirable.

I dont know the father and son personally as you do. I have seen them referee on a couple of occassions and have always thought they did a pretty good job. I was not questioning their integrity. I am a Southwestern fan so maybe I am a little bias, you know the family personally so perhaps your a little bias. I had seen where Pulaski played Clinton Co and the stats were something like 48 to 17 in free throws, I wasnt there but that is a little lopsided in my opinion and from post I saw on here the Pulaski fans certainly thought so. The stats in the Pulaski-Southwestern game were 48 free throws to 25, in my opinion that is a little lopsided. If Clinton Co or Pulaski Co had a 610 guy and were craming the ball inside, I could see a bit more free throws for either team, but I think Clinton from what I hear is more of a jump shooting team and ceratinly Pulaski is more of a jump shooting team, you usually dont have that kinda differnce with a jump shooting team. I think there were some people who were a bit aggervarted when the Kapinga kid goes up for shot and gets hit in the eye and no foul and then they have to call a time out on the floor to clean the blood up. With all that being said, once again I will say I thought Pulaski came to play and played a great game and congradulations to them, and if it were the Bottoms family refereeing then I have seen them before and thought they did a good job in some games, I am not questioning anyones integrity, just putting up some factual stats of the game and was curious if anyone had seen a father and son referee in a game and if they were actually father and son.

Good hard fought game, Russell co shot the ball very well and hit the boards well. Russell was up 12 with about 4 mins to go and Southwestern turned on the press and tied the game at 79 with 50 secs to go. Southwestern had the ball going for one shot and shot the ball a little early with 15 secs, was a good luck but with too much time on the clock. Southwestern fouled after the rebound, Russell hit two free throws and stole the ball back with about 7 secs left. Russell played a good game and well deserved victory. Southwestern played hard physically but had some mental errors late in the game. Congrats to Russell Co.

I dont think there will be any easy games for anyone in the 12 region tourney, most tourney games are usually low scoring and there will be some nailbiters that people didnt think would be.

We all look at scores, stats, schedules etc, but that is the fun part of it. But none of us can predict what kids will do on any given night, we cant predict turnovers, foul trouble, or free throws or any of that, but its fun trying to act like we are smarter than the other guy.

I was just having some fun with ya, truth is, these are kids and on any given night any team can win or lose some games. Who would have thought North Carolina loses by 30 or so last weekend, but I wouldnt want to play them come March.

I wouldnt put Mercer in the top 10 either, but I did see where you had Somerset in the top 6, keep in mind Danville beat Mercer by 22 and Somerset by 19

Looks like they lost by 5 against W Jessamine, and lost by 10 at East Jessamine, maybe the 10 is not the most competitive but at East Jessamine not too bad

Glasgow over Clinton Co 74 to 63, havent seen either team but heard some say Clinton was pretty good.

I wouldnt read too much into the Pulaski score, teams rarely come back and play well after a rivalry game. Also looks like Mercer has played some competitive games this year. I was surprised by the Somerset - Danville score but thought Danville might be a little better right now. Thought it could go either way and would be competitive.

Thanks maroon fan, I had heard that but thought it was unusual. There were some fans before the game that had mentioned it and did not think it was a good idea. That is not a everyday occurrance, and probably not a good time for the KHSAA to do that for the first time, if it was the first time, in a cross town rivalry with 5000 fans at the game. And then after the smoke clears the visting team shoots 48 free throws and the home team shoots 25, your just asking for there to be controversy. With that being said, I want to be clear I am not suggesting anything inappropriate, I just have to agree that is not a good idea in my opinion. Also maroon fan I would like to say I thought Pulaski really came out of the gate ready to play and had the look of an experienced team, I thought some of their younger kids handled the pressure of the game very well and I was impressed with the progress they have made since earlier in the year.

I have a question, maybe someone can answer, some people in the stands were saying the older and younger referee were father and son. Does anyone know if that is true? If so is that a common practice? thanks.

I had to opportunity to see GRC at Mercer county tourney, I stated it then and it appears things have not changed, they are a very good defensive team.

Pulaski came out ready to play and played very well in the first half, Southwestern's kids looked flat, Southwestern started to press in the second half and began to make some runs. Game was one point lead for Pc with 42 seconds, Southwestern fouled and Pc hit 2 free throws, with 20 seconds Southwestern missed a three and Pc finished the game with 2 more free throws for final margin. Not many teams are gonna be with in one point when the free throws for the game were 48 for Pc and 25 for Southwestern. Credit Southwestern for not giving up and credit for Pc for coming out of the gate ready to play.

I havent seen East Jessamine at this point but I have heard only good things from people that have seen them play. Right now Southwestern, Pulaski and East Jessamine seem to be considered the choices to come out of the 12th region, if it were played today. I have also heard some say that West Jessamine is no slouch, but I havent got to see them play either.

I certainly agree with you on that, I will be pulling for the representative of the 12 region at Rupp Arena.

I certainly think whoever comes out of the 12th region will represent the 12th region well, and I personally think there are gonna be some great, exciting games to watch. I would not crown the winner of the game friday night as the 12th region champs, of course East Jessamine has to be considered, but also Pulask Co's bench and some of Southwestern's young kids will both have time to improve and that could change either or both teams come March!

I also saw the GRC/Southwestern game. I would have to disagree with you that GRC controlled the game. Southwestern was up two with about three mins to go and shooting a one and one and missed. It was a one point game with about one minute to go. Southwestern turned the ball over a couple of times and GRC pulled the game out. I would agree with you that Southwesten's offense is not as far along as their defense. Also Fatkin is a very nice player, he had 12 points in that game, but got into foul trouble as did Edwards and Kapinga for Southwestern, I am not comparing those two sophomores to Fatkin, I am just stating i think they are also very important to their team. It should be a good game to watch and see which team is a little farther along at this point, but there is still alot of basketball to be played before the districts and region, if both teams get to the region.
