Big game between these two 12th region teams. #18 Southwestern will take on Pulaski Co. Your thoughts and predictions.

The top two teams in the 12th. I will take Southwestern in this first meeting 73-67.

I'll take Pulaski by 3. Kody Johnson will guide Pulaski to the victory.

Should be a good game, I'll take SW 68-62

Should be an interesting game. I am curious if either coach will show a whole lot. I imagine SW will press. I have seen them play several times this year and they have played a team or two with a good shooter, and they have went box and one. I doubt SW will go box and one on Johnson but I am pretty sure if it were a tourney game he would be seeing a box and one.

Then Taylor Gover would go off. He was rated #1 player in the 12th by CatsPause and can shoot from 25 feet with ease. If his shot is falling like normal then Southwestern will be in a lot of trouble. Kody will get his 20 points regardless.

Sounds like it will be a great game. But SW prevails by 5.

I am sure Gover and Johnson will get their points. I saw PC and Scott Co play. Scott Co did not press but only picked up full court and Gover was exhausted. He is a great kid and plays with alot of heart, but if they win this game somebody is gonna have to handle the ball at times other than Gover, IMO

Scott County is different than Southwestern. I still think Southwestern is overrated. The two best players on either team play for Pulaski and these boys are quite familiar with one another. Well kind of....Southwestern's transfers may add a wrinkle. I wish I could see this game. I'm sure I'll see it again in March.

I didn't see Goins in Pulaski's box score last night. Is he injured or was he just held scoreless? Now if he scores 14 or more points then Pulaski wins by 6-10 points.

I wasn"t comparing Southwestern to Scott Co. I was simply saying that was ONE of two games I have seen Pulaski play. My point was when you ask one or two players to carry that much of a load it is very difficult. So far they have done a good job, but eventually if a team can get Pulaski in an up tempo type game their bench is gonna have to step up and perhaps they will. As far as Southwestern being overrated, perhaps they are, but so far they have lost to one ky team which was GRC. GRC is ranked one or two in their region and won the Ashland tourney after the Mercer Co tourney. SW beat a good Ohio Co team that is ranked first or second in their region. I think alot of people think SW or Pulaksi will come out of the 12th but I would not count out East Jessamine by no means. They could be the best team in the 12th.

I think Southwestern will take advantage of Pulaski's lack of depth and thin frontcourt and take this one 72-65.

Having seen East, Southwestern and Pulaski I like what Pulaski brings to the table more than the other two. I am not convinced in Southwestern's ability to score on a consistent basis. I watched every game they played in the Mercer tourney and thought they were good but not yet great. I saw Pulaski play a game that I thought they could have played much better and they still won by 26. Both teams are very evenly matched, IMO. I feel a Pulaski victory this time around. Goins is the wild card for Pulaski.

I saw East early in the year and I think Cameron Thomas is back now. I'd like to see them with him in the lineup now.

I think Southwestern will take advantage of Pulaski's lack of depth and thin frontcourt and take this one 72-65.

That could definitely be a problem but GRC goes maybe 7 deep and controlled that game. Of course Southwestern had no answer for Fatkin and Pulaski doesn't have a Fatkin. Kody is capable of dominating the boards like Fatkin did though.

I say Southwestern by 8+ points. If Pulaski is within five at any point inside the last four minutes I'll be surprised.

I'll take Southwestern in a good one, only because they play at home.
