Going to have to respectively disagree. If you would like to compare rosters of Midland, Flames, Chiefa with a legion roster, and look at where those kids are committed, it shoots holes in your arguement. Actually, it sinks it.

They have a lot to offer. Indoor practice facility, free and at players beckon call anytime they want it. Minimal team fees, around $250-400. Play in the "right" tournaments, and just the name brings out the coaches. Director has almost every major college coach on speed dial, asks players for top 5 and starts the ball rolling. I can name specific examples-but won't-of players that have been offered sight unseen based on recommendation from Midland staff member. Under Armour and Marucci sposorship, older kids got free Marucci gloves this year, bats and batting gloves as well. Skins are fully comped, including travel, room, and meal money. Tough to top.

Of course. They promote those that attend their events. Perfect Game is no different. College coaches dont get outto many HS games, and I can assure you they pay attention to PBR and PG. Cannot stress enough the impprtance of getting out to these, as well as getting on a summer team that coaches come to see. If a kid is on a team that nobody watches, that doesnt bode well. Im a Midland homer, but there are plenty good teams that know how to get coaches to show up.

You have to remember what these rankings are based on, which is radar guns ansd stop watches. They are ranking projectibility, not their current state as a HS player. In a world where 80 mph is alnost a bare minimum, he threw 82-83. As his velo moves up, which it will, so will his ranking. Exit velos of 90, 60 times of 7 or better, and fastballs at 87-88 are what gets you on this list, not gaudy stats.

Combs 53, #1 rated 1b. As you would imagine, rankings dominated by catchers, pitchers and MIF. These were only NKY kids rated in overall.

This is a tough one for BW. I saw Mt. Healthy twice last year, they are very good. Their QB David Montgomery is special. I have read on here that some folks believe he is committed to Ohio State, which is not the case. He is on many radars, but as a RB. I have no idea who is back and who is gone for Mt. Healthy, but I was at their game vs Loveland, which I honestly thought was the semis, but I could be mistaken. They gave the Tigers all they wanted, game went right down to the wire. I will be surprised if BW is able to match up athletically.

Highlands and Cov Cath both cross river to play 7a-or Super division- foes. Beechwood playing 2a Ohio school for second year in a row. Plenty of good comp out there, SK would just rather duck it.

Those two certainly will be high. I will say I was at the event that registered the 99 for Adell. That gun was crazy that day. Guys at Midland will tell you 88-90 far more accurate, still very impressive. Add Cam Hill and Jack Schneider, that should be top 4.

Per PBR twitter, just committed to louisville. Man, Cards are the hot ticket right now among baseball players in this state. Thats 4 of top.10 in 16 class, and only 5 have committed. Very similar in 15 class. Planck will probably jump a few spots after touchng 91

Proud of the boys, great run and very impressive season. Think I saw they only lost 3 games in their age group, playing best of the best. Beechwood fans, be proud of those three. I bought a package via the coaches aid site, which I linked to via the mmws.org site. No free link, sorry, but the package I bought allows me to watch various WS games throughout country, kinda cool. Watched Redskins last night from Farmington NM. Headed out there later today, great atmosphere with packed houses for every game. As update, THawks remain the only unbeaten team in tourney, winning two on Friday. Attempting to understand a AABC bracket is way out of my league. I would think that THawks would have just won the winners bracket and waiting on losers bracket winner, but nope. Today they play a one loss team from Canada to get to finals. Those things are simply illogical. Hawks should be ok, they are choosing today between Ga Tech commit RHP Jay Wilson (Loveland HS) and Michigan commit RHP Jack Weisenberg. Tough choice. Again, two more 90 plus arms to throw out there. Lexington Catholic RHP Anthony Ethington took a no no into 7th last night, but gave up couple walks and an infield single to give up a run, but still threw a CG. BW kids continue to impress. Slusher had couple hits, as did Combs in the afternoon game. Stringer stays red hot, as he has all summer.

Tomahawks now 2-0 in the AABC World Series in Dallas. Will win tonight vs Texas Frozen Ropes. Down 1-0 into 7th, Hawks plate 6, capped by BWood's Stringer with bases clearing two out triple. Ropes score three in bottom. Michigan LHP Tyler Butzin comes in and strikes out final two for W and leaves the bases full. Exciting game, great baseball being played. I'm going to Connie Mack WS in few days so didn't make this trip, wish I had. Did get to watch it streamed live though, very nice production. Play in semis tomorrow night vs DBat, one of the top two teams in Dallas.

THawks get the 4-1 W over a great SGV Arsenal team from San Gabriel, CA. Big Nick Bennet goes 6 2/3 and gets 10ks for the W. Stringer 2-3 with that huge hit to break open a 1-0 game in bottom of 6th, and eventually scored on Slushers Sac Fly. THawks lineup today by schools committed went Texas, Oregon, Louisville (Stringer), USC/UCLA recruit, Ga Tech (Chase Murray from CHCA), UK (Combs), and Michigan, in that order, 1-7. Follow those with two future D1 kids in Slusher and Moe's Alec Graves. That's pretty solid. SGV had some big timers too, lefty starter was up to 89 on gun. Good baseball game. Play Frozen Ropes, another power house, tomorrow. Will roll out UK commit Dion Henderson, another big lefty who is consistently over 90.

I feel like Hunter's best years are yet to come. Has always thrown hard, but this year I saw great strides toward learning how to pitch and his mound presence. Eastern getting a good one. Good luck 3s.

Exactly. So they miss a couple touch football games-i.e. 7 v7s, and a July or two practice in shorts. I can assure you what they are experiencing in the games and competition is doing more for them than running ghost drills. No clue if theyve been to practice, but they havent been out of town all summer. My guess is theyve been to quite a few. Knowing those three the way I do, with their drive and work ethic they will come in ready to go when the time comes.

You won't see those two involved in PBR events anymore, unless they should open their commits back up. I would like to give a big shout out to Brett Slusher, who was named to represent Kentucky in the PBR Futures games. Brett is the only Northern KY player on the team this year. This is the grand daddy of all that PBR does, at least for the underclassmen. They choose their teams from all the showcases attendees throughout the year, and is a great accomplishment. Made up of what PBR considers the very best 2016 and a select few 2017 kids. I know both BW commits were invited last year, the only two 2016 kids to earn the invite. This is a great event, combines showcase activities with games. Not sure of the schedule, but I think each team with play at least three games vs another state, last year Team Kentucky went 0-3 vs Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Congrats Brett.
