Pardon my ignorance. What exactly constitutes a "good job" by someone who assigns officials to events? Does this same position assign officials for girls bb games also? If officials are disgruntled, that may explain some things I noticed this year in 9th region girls bb officiating.

I believe the candidate pool has been reduced to St. Henry parents.

Will this make three head coaches in three years? That makes by my count 4 HC openings in NKy? Dayton, BW, Ryle and Walton. Is that correct? Seems like a lot of instability.

Is the context of this question historical or a snapshot? As a snapshot, or the state of KY football right now, disregarding history, I'd have to say : Louisville (T,X, Ballard, Eastern, Male, PRP, Collins) NKy (HHS, Cov Cath, Beechwood, New Cath) Central KY (Boyle/Danville) Western KY Lexington Eastern KY

If you saw NKy 6A play their games last year, you might feel differently. Campbell County played the best in District, and SK played the best in the playoffs, but on the whole, a very under-welming season from the entire district.

Rambo, have to disagree with the first point. Yes, we have some very good football programs in NKy, but once you get past HHS, Cov. Cath, New Cath and Beechwood there is not a single program that I can think of that consistently gets deep in the playoffs year in and year out. In other words, we have some mediocre programs here in NKy as well. Except for New Cath, all of those other programs are in environments where players are well supported ($$$$). I would say overall, the best programs collectively are in Louisville.

I would have liked to have seen a Ballard or Eastern or PRP on the schedule. I don't see a lot of value in playing Holy Cross. It's one thing to play a top A or 2A school but HC is too light IMO. Is there no scrimmage game this year?

Everybody always mentions the talent pool at Ryle being siphoned by Cooper. But nobody mentions another relatively new program on Union's southern border, Walton. Where do you think those kids were playing before that program came into existence?

Thats a new tidbit. I did not realize the separation was not voluntary. If that's the case, then Bonne waited a long time before starting their search.

1) Engage the parents and get them structured as a booster organization. 2) Engage businesses and perhaps some famous alumni on fundraising. Stress the need for facilities upgrade. 3) Engage BCPWFL. Be visible to kids in the youth leagues. Host their practices. 4) Stress the benefit of football as an extended family to kids in school.

Even if a school rescinds its open enrollment policy and does not grandfather existing students?

What if financial circumstances change and you can no longer afford the private school, or, even out of district tuition?

I understand how Coach Neiderman could feel slighted. Boone's issues were not on the defensive side of the ball. With all due respect to the predecessor HC though, there is a lot of relationship building to do with parents of kids in the program and of middle school aged kids who will be attending Boone in the future. Hiring of an internal candidate could have been interpreted as a status quo hire. This program needed to be shaken up and an outside hire (especially one from outside the region) with a fresh, unbiased perspective is IMO needed.

You don't even have to play a single down in HS Football. If you go to the camps and combines and you have the talent, you will be found!
