  1. I thought SK owed Pulaski a return trip. I would be shocked if BW was still on the schedule. I had understood that Holy Cross was added as part of the cross town shoot out (I believe these pairings are determined by a 3rd party).
  2. Experience does not overcome superior athletic ability. In Football team speed does not get overcome by either experience or coaching. There is nothing playing HHS is going to do except expose athletic short comings. Yet , you continue to whine when teams more athletic than HHS come calling. Its perpetual circular hypocrisy!
  3. Tell that to CardinalsFan who was getting ready to help HHS find a game on the other side of the river, until you alienated him with whining rationalizations!
  4. Given that the JV's will be on the field by the second quarter, you want to say again what benefit CC gets from playing Highlands? Sure CC played Cov Cath last year, but by the end of the year, they were the 2nd best team in their district having been beat by that team with the 2A schedule!
  5. If your objective is to get better, then I would enter the combines starting in 7th grade. Most of the College Camps start with incoming freshmen (Current 8th graders), although many have youth camps as well. This is a crucial activity for a high school athlete looking to get recruited.
  6. Many of us are just regular fans. I assure you though, coaches and administrators do read this board on a regular basis. Many folks you think are fans, are really coaches playing dumb. And for the record, my provocative tone on this thread was intended to get specific conditioning program information. Obviously, HHS is doing things that other programs are not. I find it mind boggling that HHS could handle Scott County so easily. Especially considering what SC accomplished this season. Scott County is not Ryle or SK or Boone. They are about 50% larger by male enrollment that those three schools ( 3 times the size of HHS) and they do not have another HS within 20 miles of their campus, so they have no competition for athletes. They are the ONLY 6A school with the potential to challenge T or X. Before scheduling HHS, anybody in NKy 6A would first have to concern themselves with being able to be competitive with CCH and Scott County. With relatively new programs at Brossart, Walton and Cooper, the pool of athletes is just getting way too thin.

  9. While I do not condone using foul language with High School Athletes, I do believe that female coaches have more difficulty expressing displeasure in a way that registers with a female athlete. With a male coach, simply elevating the vocal tone is often enough. Not with female coaches though. In my house, we use the death stare!
  10. Do your homework before you stick your foot in your mouth! Boone does not have a feeder system!
  11. That will certainly help alleviate HHS scheduling challenges!
  12. I have experienced many dedicated, committed educators in both of the schools you have cited. Boone's district was gerrymandered to include many undeserved populations and they often get blame for issues that have origin in the family.
  13. Would you have the same standards if it was a male coach addressing either male or female players? I have noticed considerable gender bias on this issue.
  14. HHS most likely also has a bye week scheduled that could be used to schedule a game as well. I noticed they were not in a hurry to point this out however!
  15. That's HHS. Eager to play down and content to be the best in KY. in a very weak class I might add. Highly critical of programs that don't want to play them, or back out of a scheduling commitment, then take the same position when they get a call from a GCL caliber team!
  16. Is there any strength of schedule factoring in this ranking?
  17. I can't wait to see where this goes. CF, are you offering HHS a game?
  18. Are you sure they are unrelated? You are saying that a perception of PED use, if in fact there is one, would have nothing to do with HHS scheduling challenges?
  19. Good luck on the recruiting trail. Make sure you hit all the camps and combines you can get to. What is Kody doing to stay in shape since seniors can't participate in conditioning?
  20. Now Guru, you do realize that in comparison to other BC schools, Boone does serve a disadvantaged population. Their percentage of free and reduced lunch students is quite high. That being said, if Boone is so awful, why is your son still there?
  21. I'm not alleging or accusing. I'w waiting for a credible answer to my question. Something along the lines of "We speed train with plyometric bands to improve speed and explosive movements."
  22. I am not apologizing for anything. I asked how HHS can put more team speed on the field than Scott County , and you collectively, have not answered the question. Given the inability of HHS to schedule, I believe you are not comprehending on exactly whom the burden of proof of lies.
  23. Who said anything about recruiting? If I'm a coach considering scheduling HHS and I can see from game tapes that a school of roughly 400 males can put more team speed on the field than a school with 1250 males, that also does not have to compete for its athletes, that was 2 td ahead of Trinity in the 4th quarter, I don't consider it. It was a nice picture of sweeperboy's home gym though. I appreciate the confirmation of private facilities and expect that the whining of the inadequacies of HHS facilities will now cease!
  24. Waiting for the next program to drop from the HHS schedule!
  25. My kid has to recover from 15 hours per week of conditioning by taking ice baths. It is the only way he gets through the week. He has gone from a 5.9 40 to a 4.9 40 in a year. He has gone from 6 bench press reps at 185 to 30 bench press reps at the same in a year. Sorry, still not buying it.
