Two seasons and yes Coach Lickert is a very good coach but Dayton does not have the talent to win year in and year out. If you seen the Holmes team he coached they had athletes every where. Maybe he does help but thats maybe one or two wins a year extra he brings. Sorry but Lickert knew what Dayton had coming up and that is why he got out when he did and left the class he groomed for years the 07-08 team to challenge for state. Chad Montgomery will be fine he needs some time to develop some depth. He will work as hard as anyone to fix what can be fixed and prepare for Lloyd next week! The community needs to get out and support him and the greendevils!

I doubt that it would be how it was even if Lickert never left, but Dayton can not consistantly win as long as kids from Dayton keep leaving Dayton and play for Highlands, NCC and Bellevue!

I dont remember anyone stating Lloyd was a "dominate" team but saying that they epected them to beat a below average team in OC or what had consistantly been a below average team! Good win for the rebels though, Any stats on this on? Lloyd should look ahead as Dayton comes to town next week.

If Boyle hopes to beat Highlands later in the season they must develop their passing game. Also Highlands could have ran the toss sweep everytime and Boyle could not have stopped it. Their line pulled and selled and got to the second level with no problems, a "small" but very fundamentally sound O-line.

With that said its Coach Lickerts first year at the helm and and he will have his team ready, if CovCath comes in thinking its an easy win they will be in for a surprise.
