I meant in relation to their non district schedule. Listen, no argument here, NCC is a strong team, and played a much better schedule, although I think Covington Holy Cross was playing with out one of their best players. I guarantee you Danville will be the best 2a team they will have played to date and are very focused and executing well. LCA was a good team that wanted revenge and Danville beat the brakes off of them. The score could have been 70 or 80 to 0. If Clevenger wanted it that way. NCC may win but it won't be easy.

Not sure I guess it would favor NCC most because they have a power running game, unless the slick ball causes them to fumble. Danville has played in several rain games and it didn't seem to bother them.

Thought that it was was evident that I do realize the caliber of comp Danville has played. I don't know if its the weakest region in any class though. Are you a Boyle County fan? Also, NCC predistrict schedule was strong but it doesn't look like their 2a schedule was that strong.

Does anyone have directions to the Newport stadium? I am assuming exiting off I-75, and the what?

Danville has improved a lot since the Boyle game, only problem is they haven't had a good test since. Danville's district and region just doesn't have a team any where near NCC. I think Danville can beat NCC, but its going to take great effort with no turn overs. I would really like Danville's chances better if it was played in Danville. I want to see how the Ads react when they get hit in the mouth. Coach Clevenger has instilled a toughness in the players they haven't had for a long time and I think it will show Friday. The Ads schedule hasn't been as tough as NCC, but they have been focused and absolutely destroyed their comp coming down the stretch. thse games could have been in the 70's and 80's if not for the mercy rule, running clock. I will take Danville in a close one 17-14, with Steber kicking the game winner in the closing seconds.

Sorry I had wrong year, don't know why I thought that. Scary situation, I guess it will be up to His family, not sure I would let Him play again, The Doctors may not release Him to play football. I saw a show on TV where they interviewed Mike Ditka, Bret Favre, and Troy Aikman, they all said they would not let their sons play football considering all the new information out about concussions, and spinal injuries happening in football.

Defense only, He played Cornerback, just a Freshman but a really good one. He will be greatly missed but Danville has some pretty good replacements.

I guess, but I am old school and use to be when a team had the other team down that bad and put in the subs, he losing team would respond by putting in their subs. Its hard watch the bigger older players run over young guys, but it is what it is. I guess it will make the young guys tougher for the future.

Heard today that he cracked the his C1 vertebrae. He will be in a brace for 3 months, but he is at home. He is very fortunate that it wasn't a lot worse. I wish him a speedy recovery and my prayers are with Him.

David Walker, Made a big hit on kick off coverage, was down for probably 15 minutes then came off on his own. He never returned to the game, not sure of his status.

Maybe I shouldn't ask this question, but why do you leave your first string guys in when you have been completely dominated and down 56-0. Danville puts in the young guys and and LCA leaves in the starters, WHY?, does it make them feel better about the game? Can't say they need the reps for next week cause there is no next week for LCA.:popcorn:

I would say He has been told not to run, if he gets hurt Danville's chances go way down.

As said earlier Danville's QB didn't have a good game at all against LCA the first game. I'm sure He will be ready to go to work on LCA friday. Thunder1 said the game was closer than appeared the first time. How can you say that with a running clock? Oh and I'm sure Danville's secondary will be ready, and late in the first game Danville had the young guys in because of the running clock, so LCA didn't expose anything, thunder1.:sssh:

I like your enthusiasm, and I know, thunder1, is making it very hard to be humble. My prediction is that Danville will win big again, but its not going to be automatic. Danville has to have the intensity and killer instinct they have been playing with and stay focused on the goal. I remember a situation I think back in 1988 Coach Harp's first year when Danville blasted Somerset in the regular season like by 50 or 60 points only to lose to them in the regional (I think). I think Clay will keep their minds right, but that year always comes to mind when we have a rematch with a team we beat easily in the regular season.

I think everybody has to play by the rules. Maybe 2 or 3 better in the west but I think Danville is right there after that. Best thing is by rule only one of those teams you mentioned can go to Finals.:clap:

And to tell you the truth Hatz, it should have been worse. Danville won and the game was never in doubt but that was absolutely the worst officiated game I have ever seen. There was a period from the end of the first quater til half time that the refs had to have tennis elbow from throwing flags on Danville, and lack there of for Somerset. Somerset's lone score was aided heavily by penalties. I hope Danville never gets that crew again, they looked confused all night to me.:idunno::ohbrother:

Wish you guys luck, but if you can't throw the ball effectively, BC will shut down your run game. Not trying to aggravate you, just the way it is, wait and see.
