I don't think it was Coach Cornetts decision ... my wifes family said that the administration called her in and told her they wanted to go in a different direction ....well they did, but its the wrong direction.

I know from watching her freshman teams at MC that the players don't respect her and her teams don't perform up to their abilities.

The powers at be are the reason better candidates haven't applied. Since you are in the know, can you share with us who has applied?

Mums the word. My wife used to live n Carlisle and she called her sister and she said that the hiring committee wasn't blown away by any of the applicants. She said she doesn't know of anyone that applied.

I will miss Coach Riley. Had the pleasure of sitting with him and chatting basketball at the Sweet 16 many years ago.

I was only able to watch a couple games due to an unexpected call into work. It seemed to me that Bracken Co. is going to struggle scoring. Both games i saw they were in 30s. Coach Persingers coaching ability will be on display. We will see if he can coach a team sans a superstar (Hamilton, A.Cummins, and Todd Jefferson). He has a shooter in Ray. I am looking for big things from Crawford next season. They will need more production from an already weak front line. I was really impressed with what I saw from PC. We know how good MM is but I was impressed with Antrobus's play. Coach Simms has a deep and post season experienced team. I look for them, Montgomery, and Brossart to be best 3 teams in the 10th.... Call me crazy, but I don't see Mason and Clark in the top 3. But I wouldn't count them completely out of it either.:dancingpa

West Jessamine! @Goldie- based on a 2-14 record in 16th region and 0-7 district record. That's not hard to surpass in my opinion.

I don't think it matters who coaches at NC (boys or girls) because administration doesn't support the coaches or the programs. Always going to have a high turnover in coaches there!

Kellen Smith is a better player and PG than Gilbert... he got that because he is from Mason Co.

This team gets killed by Team Indiana! Really frustrating for a basketball fan that we don't have our best players representing us in this game.

I wonder what Butler is going to do...its hard to be assistan for someone who got job over you and has 10+ less years experience! Probably why Rabbit said no.

1. Montgomery Co. led by sharpshooter Omar Prewitt 2. Pendleton Co. led by silky smooth pg Mason Monroe. But between these two teams the real question would be : who whines more ...Coach Simms or Omar Prewitt?

I had heard thru the proverbial grapevine that NC had found a boys coach but was still looking for a girls coach... anybody know anything?

I think Mason Co hired who they wanted....and someone close to their program wasn't it. Location or proximity to school had nothing to do with the decision.

Wonder why they are Hush Hush!? :sssh: Must be really secretive if Ed is unaware of the potential replacements.
