Interesting side note. Former Trinity and UK standout LHP Corey Littrell was the other piece that the Cardinals receive in the Lackey deal. Littrell currently has a 3.60 ERA in 100 innings with Boston's high-A club.

Either way, as I previously stated, 99% of people who see these gestures either have no idea what they mean or don't care what he is doing with his hands besides catching a football.

Stop speculating that he is some hardened gang member based on how he positions his fingers/hands (especially when you haven't even identified what these "gang signs" supposedly mean). His past behavior and acts of service over the years indicate he is a classy individual. If these were truly "gang signs" that he is "stacking", do you think the NBA would have ignored this kind of behavior during the season? Considering they fine players big $$$ for flopping, I highly doubt they would turn a blind eye if his signs had some sort of gang meaning. Joker, I'm sure you know far more about gangs and related signage than I do, but I think you're over-thinking this one a bit.

Builder said it perfectly. 6'4"-6'5" is tall enough to garner D1 interest. However, just as he said, at that point it comes down to the physical ability of the recruit. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter what parents think, because it is those college coaches that are ultimately holding the scholarship offers and deciding who will get them.

Clyde brought up a perfect example with Bradley Way from Cov Cath. If this kid was an inch or two taller who knows where he would have ended up. Would have had his choice of many suitors IMO. One of the best I have seen around here in a long while. In terms of offensive line, it really is all about the height and length of the arms. Most schools would rather take a flyer on a 6'4"-6'5" kid who they can develop rather than a 6'2" kid that is a polished athlete. It's unfortunate but that's just the way it is.

Any advice or tips on grilling fish? Probablly something along the lines of salmon fillets. Any special prep work required for the grill?

He was the third basemen for JV before being brought up to varsity to start. The kid has been tearing it up, both at JV and since being moved up, varsity.

Look out for Brayden Runion from Cooper as well. Great athlete with speed and a powerful bat as well. Fields and throws the ball extremely well from third base.

This kid will be a player for the Bengals. He may have only been clocked at 4.6 at the combine, but if you have watched any of his tape you can see that he plays much faster than this. He often outruns DB's on his way to 40-50 yard touchdown runs. Running back obviously wasn't a glaring need, but personally I really like this pick. Our one, two punch out the backfield should be deadly this year. No doubt Hyde is a great player as well. However, the biggest difference between the two is the style of offense they played in. Hill comes from a pro-style offense run by a former NFL offensive coordinator in Cam Cameron, while Hyde ran in a spread offense that didn't force him to read holes and pick his spots as much. Only time will tell which player has the better career, but for right now, I believe the Bengals made the right choice with Jeremy Hill.

These two games were in the beginning of the season so understandable. With the score being 10-1 in the second game, most every starter was removed from the game, resulting in a minor comeback from highlands. The results could have been much worse.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Cooper has beaten SK twice. Once by way of a PERFECT GAME. The second was by a score of 8-2. How are they better than Cooper? Also, Cooper run ruled Brossart by a score 11-0. Anyways, IMO; 1.Cov Cath 2.Cooper 3.SK 4.Conner 5.Brossart and if there were a number 6. Dixie.

District seed game played in Union. Coach Arlo becomes the all-time winningest coach in Conner baseball history. Congrats Arlo :thumb::clap::banana: Ross goes the distance for Conner, striking out 10 and allowing only 2 hits along the way. Hart and Ross both had a solid day at the plate.

I was at the game. The performance was strong from Brendan and the entire Cooper Freshmen team. Good, tight pitches, as well as some solid defense. What a thrill to watch. Congrats Brendan! :ylsuper:

I have only seen Conner play a few times this season, but they seem to be at their best when they aren't force feeding the post on every possession. The key is good guard play, but it seems to me that the guards have been pulled out for not feeding the post and taking open shots on occasion. I think this has hindered their development as a unit a little bit. It sounded as if they opened up their offense a little bit against Ryle and finally knocked down some three balls. This will help open up the inside game. In the little game action I have seen of Conner, one of their biggest flaws was their one dimensional offensive game. Sounds like that is improving. Good luck to both teams tonight. Should be a good one.
