I think he just saw the sting operation and believes that all their programming does is rage against conservatives. It's like trying to take Fox News off the air because Glen Beck said something stupid. Except this guy did it on hidden camera and not his national television show.
I just don't see how you can deny someone who is the NCAAs all-time leading rebounder a spot on an AA team. Sure, he plays against weaker competition, but he's dominated in the big games, too.
Repbulicans are doing nothing but riding the wave of anti-NPR sentiment among their constituents. Not that I blame them. I would probably do the same in the same situation. But what this does is go towards crippling one of the best, most informative media outlets we have going in this country. People complain all the time that the nightly news is too depressing. They should try getting their news from NPR. Great mix of stuff there, and you feel more intelligent for having listened.
Hey Seth, why not try to get your boys up for Purdue, UNLV, Virginia and others at home like you did for Duke? And, to top it off, they had a chance to get on the right side of the bubble with a win vs. BC at home on March 1. What happened? Lost by 15. No excuse.
A few of my favorites:
@darrenrovell - CNBC's sports-business reporter
@DanWetzel - Yahoo! sports columnist and destroyer of college athletics programs
@aglock - CNNSI writer
@NotJerryTipton - tongue-in-cheek humor
@JayBilas - my current favorite tweeter
If you can't get on board with the NCAA's all-time modern era rebounding leader who averaged 17 and 14 being an AA before an inconsistent freshman then I don't know what to tell you. If you're strictly looking at this from the "who did they play?" standpoint you don't understand what goes into being an AA.
I've been on Twitter for a while. Especially when it comes to sports, news breaks first on Twitter. Everything you see on the local news sports segment are broken on Twitter hours before.
:lol:
If you're called a duck you're a duck? I believe the saying goes "If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is probably a duck." If Obama were saying things about believing in Mohammed- quacking like a duck- then I would believe he was Muslim. Your ability to grossly morph things to fit your opinion humors me.
I dare say that calling someone "Mexican" isn't nearly as racist as whatever Andy Kennedy said in that taxi cab, yet you're quick to mention how Kennedy is a changed man, but refuse to afford Calipari that same forgiveness? Nevermind that Cal's incident happened a decade ago. That screams of bias.
