I’m not going to pretend to know enough to handicap this game, I just think CovCath wins handily. Whether it’s a solid 3 touchdown win, or a running clock melee, I’ll take CovCath.

Man, it might not be my place because I’m a casual observer of high school football, but come on. What in the world is Ryle doing scheduling this scrimmage? If you want a team that’ll give you a stiff whooping, go across the river. At least afterward 100% of the people in and associated with your program won’t completely rule out the possibility of a state championship.

Dude, I remember that game well. I was there to watch Dixie play afterward. I remember My wife, who I was only dating at the time, saying something along the lines of “I thought you said they were going to win.” I remember telling her they were going to still win. One of the few times I was right and she was wrong lol

Call me crazy, but some of my fondest memories from playing were from 2 a day practices. Shenanigans in the locker room between practice were hysterical.

Down hill as in what? Not competing for a district title? Region? Contender to win it all?

2006 was solid, but I don’t think 2017 loses to Bishop Watterson or probably Elder like the 2006 team did.

Oh that’s aweful news! She was such an amazing woman. The colonel crazies are incredible, but she was definitely the best cheer leader around. She literally went to every game. Freshman, JV and varsity.

I’m sure your ego gets pumped up just fine beating teams with 6a enrollment.

Anyone have insight into who his favorite college team is?

Is CovCath a significant factor? I remember a few years back when there was talk of HHS and CCH being in different classes. At that time, it would have appeared that the road to a state championship would have been easier for the Colonels without Highlands in the way. I was glad they remained in the same class. A state championship that doesn’t go through Highlands in some way doesn’t feel right. I’d imagine there is similar thought among Highlands folk.

A top team? Yeah absolutely. THE top team? We’ll have to wait for that one.
