Covington Catholic/Highlands Updates
I'm wanting to know from someone there, does CovCath really look "up by 35 in the 1st quarter" better than Highlands?

Keep the foot on the accelerator. 10 years of losing makes any lead uncomfortable.

Covington Catholic/Highlands Predictions
This. On paper, everything points to a CCH win. The Colonels know that they're owned by the Bluebirds, and the Bluebirds know they own the Colonels. It's been a mindset for 10 years. Over that course of time, they've had some pretty competitive games, some of which CovCath should have won, but major blunders prevented it from happening, like fumbled punts, dropped exchanges, interceptions while sustaining a drive, blown coverage etc. Highlands had been able to rise to the occasion, where CovCath has not. If we don't crap down our legs, take care of the football, and establish a run game, we win. CovCath 38-21

It would literally take an act of God for the Colonels to lose to Grant County.

Sounds like it would have been a good year to have the old coach's team on the schedule.

Covington Catholic/Grant County predictions
These district foes square off at Grant County next week. Both teams are coming off losses and are looking to right the ship. I think the Colonels take care of business and get the subs in to finish it out. Something like 56-14 seems right.

Huh? The goal is to win a state title, Ru. Your perception is whack. And I didn't say cupcakes. Re-read my post.

Anytime whipper snapper. Who would be your ideal opponent? Who gets them best prepared to take on a team like Bowling Green? Seems like you want to play the powder puffs just to feel good.

What are you guys new? Who do you want us to play? Scott? Holmes? Sure we could drive across town and smear Holy Cross into the dirt, but we chose to play a tougher opponent. Seems like it was a decent game by and large. They got more from this game than they would from playing the majority of NKY. 7 turnovers won't win many games.

I know they haven't lost, but are they really that good? Naming the score would put them on the level of the likes of Trinity or a GCL South school imo.

Good win. Keep chopping wood Colonels. Don't get too high. Focus on the next task at hand.
