I think Boone will be tough again this year as they return a good group of players and they know how to win. NC will be tough, CCH, Beechwood, Dixie, HC, Ryle, Campbell, Brossart. Looks like it will be a good year to watch the games. Good luck to all.

I am not demeaning the kid, he deserves the attention he is getting, just asking a question on the rule. Kids that are held back do have an advantage at his age group IMO which may be right or wrong I don't know but it is MO. I give the kid all the credit for working hard to get where he is today and I do wish him luck in the future.. You have you opinion and I have mine, do you know the rule???

Hatton will not break the state record. He is a good ball player but let's not give him all the records just yet. Watched him play a couple times and he can play but I believe he was held back at least one year as it seems to happen quiet a bit. (holding kids back). I believe kids should be allowed to play up but not back. How old is he and what is the rule on the number of years you can play varisty ball and age limit. I thought it was 5 years and could not turn 19 before the season started. Not sure so I'm asking. I will be watching him the next copule of years and wish him all the luck. Records are made to be broken!!!!!!!!

Why is it that everyone talks about how hard a kid can throw? There is a big difference between being a thrower and a pitcher. The region might have some good throwers but how many good pitchers do they have, very few. I will take a good pitcher over a thrower any time.

Most of the players that have been discussed here have played with or against each other for a few years ( a lot play summer ball on the same teams)and I think it would be interesting to hear what the players themselves think. Which schools will be the favorites and who are the top players? Players we know you are watching and some posting so be honest and make your picks, as I believe you know more about each other then any of us.

Doug is doing good and working very hard this winter to get ready for hopefully another good season for him and Boone County which I believe both will have. Thank you for your comments about Doug (my grandson), he is a good kid who works hard at anything he does. THANK YOU!

How can the mvp of the district and region as a soph not be considered the front runner. Until someone shows other wise Teegarden is the best underclassman. We will just have to wait and see.

The all-star team won the tournment again in Tennessee this past weekend. Teegarden played second and short and hit around 460 for the five games and was the only kid from Northern Ky. to go with the team. I was told the other kids from NKY were going to Columbus to play in a tournment.

Does anyone know the story about the group of kids going to Tennesse today to play ? I was told it was being sponsored by Chanpion,( don't know if this is true or not), all I know for sure is , it is a team selected from a group which played last week at Midland. Teegarden from Boone was selected and is going. If anyone has some info and would like to share , it would be greatly appericated. Thank you

I do not believe the stats listed are the final stats for the year. Some players/schools are not listed at all. I know nothing I say will change the list and I feel better talking about this but I would love to see the final stats for the conference to see how Teegarden ranked. He has two more years to play so let it be, I believe he will prove himself in the long run.

If I don't stand up for my grandson then I'm a bad grandpa. I think you would do the same for yours. I did call you one sided and I still think you are when it comes to your high school. If you can show the final stats for the year and his is not among the best all around then I will say nothing else. I have looked but can not find the final stats for all the schools which I assume the coaches had. I am not blaming you for him being let off and thanks for answering my questions. Most of us all have our tipping point and this kind of stuff just rubs me wrong . If I did not think he drserved this I would not have said a word but I think the stats will speak for themselves.

I don't know who should come off in anyone but I think YES my grandson should have made it based on his all around stats for the year, thats my opinion and I will stick to it. You or anyone else can have there opiniion and I can have mine. The coaches did not go by stats or he would have made it. If you don't think he should have made the list thats fine but I believe he should have!!!!!!

I know picking all star and all conference teams is a very had job but I don't understand why only one player from Boone made the team. I do not know much about some of the players but I can not see how Teegarden was left out ! He was named to all the all-star teams and MVP of two of them but he can not make all-conference ? Who picks these teams and does everyteam have to have a player named ? I'm not saying the players named don't belong but if you compare stats Teegarden has to be listed IMO !

Who is pitching for Butler? If the kid who pitched against Boone throws and pitches as he did against them I would have to go with Butler. Good luck to both teams. Congrats on great seasons.

First I have heard of any change, you will have to ask his parents, he is my grandson. I would say Boone but what do I know. And for SOLOMON you seem to be the only one crying, most of us are proud of all the kids that play ball no matter what school, maybe you should try that approach instead trying to be the web bully!!!!

Boone County had a great season and has nothing to be ashamed of. They played a good game last night and this morning. Teegarden was pitching a good game until he got very bad cramps which started in the third inning and got so bad he could hardly walk. He pitched 4 and 2/3 innings before having to be taken out. Butler's pitcher pitched a super game and deserved the win. It was a tough matchup for Boone and on this given night it would have been a tough matchup for any school. I understand you want to stir the old pot a little so have your fun, but I will support and defend Boone against anyone. Great job by all the Boone players for the season and good luck this summer. YES, TEEGARDEN IS MY GRANDSON AND I AM VERY PROUD OF HIM AND ALL THE BOONE PLAYERS. SEE YOU ON THE DAIMOND NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!

I think everyone should give credit where credit is due, Boone played a better game then Dixie and won ! Not only is Teegarden one of (if not ) the best spoh around , he is IMO one of the best players in NKY period! I bet any other school up here would love to have him. GO BOONE !!!!!!

From what little I have found out about Butler it looks like both teams hit the ball well and score a lot of runs. As always pitching will tell the story. I like Boone in a close one maybe because I'm for Boone all the way. I wonder how Huff will set up his pitching, ( I guess it's everyone). Good luck Boone, will be there watching!!!!!!!

What does anyone know about Butler ? Just read article from Courider-Journal.com which stated that the "BEARS" scored 32 runs on 33 hits in the three regional games and are averaging nine runs a game for the seven game winning streak they are on. Record of 25-12-1 for season. Any more anyone?
