Most of the teams rated in the final regular-season poll have been bumped from the chase to Applebee's Park for the state tournament. Going into Thursday's games, 16 of the top 25 teams have been eliminated, and two more will bite the dust because they're matched against other rated teams in region finals.

What can anyone tell us about Butler which plays Boone Co. 6/14 at 8:30 pm?

The baseball rankings are often a joke anyway. The same teams are there each year, like a legacy. I don't care what kind of team Apollo or PRP have, I know they're going to be near the top year, after year, after year.
