The Bengals played just ok at times and pretty bad at others. Over the past few years they struggle with mobile QB's and LJ is about as athletic as it gets. It should be a pretty easy concept to stop and they eventually contained LJ (some), but then Edwards went wild and they started their non-tackling thing again.
Eventually, LJ will be made to throw the ball and that verdict is stilll out. But I was impressed yesterday for a first start and significant time playing.
The offense has regressed a lot. The Ravens stopped Mixon with blitz rushes and then pressured AD. The only receiver who can get separation is Boyd and Uzomah (at times). They doubled Boyd and Uzomah had to stay in and block some, due to blitzes. It just did not give AD much time to scope the field and he needs time to do that. They boxed Gio up, also when he played. AD actually did about as much as he could given the skill set he is working with.
Bottom line, this is an average NFL team at the moment, trending downward. The Colts are average, trending upward, to compare similar type of teams. 5-5 is 5-5 and that is average. I have difficulty believing they will be anything but 8-8.
