  1. The Jackets had a very good night of practice in rainy conditions last night. They appear to be pretty healthy going in to Friday. This should be one of the better games in class A this week. Both teams have high octane offenses so should be some fireworks. Jackets...stay focused go to work and leave it all on the field! Jacket Pride!!
  2. The clock is counting down...focus up Rams and get a huge W!!!
  3. Leslie is pretty tough think I'll take them in a close one...24-20
  4. The tide on here seems to predict a close game, maybe a touchdown spread, and I'll agree with that. Yesterday was a good day of practice...hope the Jackets stay focused all week!
  5. Going to be a tough one for the young Jackets...if they have matured the way I hope i agree they have an excellent shot to win.
  6. The Jackets come off a workman like win vs. Jenkins. Harlan played a tough Berea squad to a 35 - 12 win. Big rematch here from week 2 of the regular season. The Jackets lost previously at Harlan 41-22. They shut down Harlan's ground attack, but got toasted by the passing game. Harlan was hitting on all cylenders in the air game and the Burg turned the ball over a few times to set the Dragons up nicely. The Jackets were very young then but have matured over the season. This will be a good game. How much have the Jackets grown up? Will Harlan be able to exploit the Jackets thru the air again? The Burg is nearly full strength for this one and it will be at the hallowed ground of Rose Stanfill this time. Jackets looking for redemption, Harlan looking to advance...who wins? more later in the week! Jacket Pride!!
  7. Pulling hard for my adopted Rams in this one...GO BIG ORANGE!!! ( love saying that..lol)
  8. Amazing how much team chemistry plays into High School football, especially at small schools like ours. This years group, though young really have fantastic chemistry...Last year's team had more talent and would probably beat the pants off this years group on paper, but the chemistry was never there and I felt we under acheievd a bit. Here's hoping the Rams get that worked out! Its been fun pulling for you guys this year and want to see it continue awhile...heck hope we get to meet each other in the playoffs sometime and I get to meet some of you wonderful folks! Go RAMS
  9. J Pat is a very talented kid but has a little trouble holding on to the ball and is a work in progress. Where he has really shined has been at LB..the kid flies all over the field and has 102 tackle so far this year. Glad we have him his future is so bright and what a great kid, super personality and fun!
  10. Yes they are, they can chew up alot of time with their ground game...will be a good game I think
  11. The Burg appears to be almost 100% healthy and had a pretty good practice yesterday. I think they appear pretty determined at this point....More tommorrow!
  12. Thursday so one more day to get ready...Best of luck Rams...Bring home a big "W"
  13. Could be a tough one for the Dragons...I think they will win but I think by no more than 10
  14. Ahh the real season begins...the great thing about it is that the young Jackets seem to be excited and focused. I have a feeling the offense is getting ready to explode...getting some folks back!
  15. I just don't think there's a coach in the state who does more with less than Jerry Herron at Williamsburg. His Jackets are the second smallest football playing school in the state, but have won 4 out of the last 5 district titles, and are always competetive. In all the years I've followed the Burg I cant remember them dressing more than 26, and despite adversity and injuries (which are huge at a single a school) he still inspires his kids to be successful.
  16. I whole heartedly agree...for some as they look back, this will be the fondest athletic memory they have
  17. Wish the Campers could pull the upset...but thinking Hazaed just too much...49-14
  18. I hope the youngsters realize what a unique opportunity they have going into the playoffs and hope we get weell quickly!
  19. The Jackets come into this one licking their wounds after being handled by Oliver Springs. The Jackets held out a couple injured folks in prep for the playoffs and hopefully will be back to close to full strength against Jenkins. The Cavaliers had Harlan on the ropes for awhile and from watching film they appear better than their record. I know the coaching staff is already hard at work trying to fix some of the problems from the OS game. The offense is struggling to find answers in the run game and was off in the passing game as well. If the Jackets can make the needed adjustments they should prevail.
  20. Youth and injuries caught up with the Jackets tonight against a senior laden Oliver Springs team. Big plays killed the Jackets tonight and offense couldn't get untracked...hopefully the Jackets will get healthy for the Jenkins Cavaliers in the first round.
