Good game to watch. Langhi and Spurlock are both great high school players. I do think Spurlock settled for few to many 35-ft threes.

Via the TV broadcast yesterday they said both sessions had slightly over 11k in attendance. I don’t know if that is an actual gate number and physically there, or if that was tickets sold. Does anyone know how many the lower bowl seats? I am an old man now and have attended most tournaments since the legendary Clay Co teams from the 80s, and when I reflect back on those times I remember the crowd being bigger. I was just a kid then, so I could just be misremembering.

The pressure on McGillis was great all game by several defenders. Seemed like the physical, long, athletic defenders had him off his game. Any one know why Harney only played 21-minutes? I watched from work, but occasionally had to step away. I hope he wasn’t injured. They aren’t very deep, so not having him hurt.

I also wish the organization had the creativity and guts to make a meaningful trade. Jets acquired Minkah Fitzpatrick for a 7th round pick, and I believe they will be paying him less than $15M per season. 49ers traded a 3rd round pick for Osa Odighizuwa and will be paying about an average of $20M for the next two seasons. These are just a couple recent examples. Not blockbusters but meaningful trades for positions the Bengals needed. Might just be the fantasy football GM in me that wants more trades. I get the impression it isn’t something the organization considers unless they are trying trade an unwanted player. Flacco doesn’t count either — they waited several weeks too long to make that move be considered meaningful.

Very good response. He isn’t elite but he is a solid pro. Bengals defense could use a lot more of those guys — solid pros. Do your job guys. The truth is there was one elite DT in free agency and once you didn’t get him, guys like Allen are as good as they could get. Allen signing also doesn’t count against the compensatory pick formula, which has them in line to get an estimated 3rd rounder in 2027 for Trey. The problem with this free agency group was the team needed a linebacker. Needed an above average linebacker and they didn’t get it done. I like all three signings but they should have prioritized linebacker. As much as I wanted Cook and was glad they signed him. The safety pool was deeper and I would have preferred Chenal at LB and a lesser safety.

I hope. I wish. But based on everything I have seen, he will not be there at 10.

How do they fix the linebacker position?

At this point it was as good as they were going to do. Played 17 games. 68 tackles. 3.5 sacks. DT was thin in free agency. I don’t mind the move at all. He is an upgrade for the Bengals. I also think the Vikings had to make cuts to get under the cap, so they just couldn’t afford him.

It’s only a false start if they flag it.

Anyone actually watch? All I keep hearing about is how the two teams ‘worked together’ to get the record for him — which is sad.

Missed Elliss and Chenal. Either linebacker would have been acceptable here. Both seemed to get fair deals — nothing outrageous. I haven’t looked much deeper but noticed a few corners I liked signed reasonable deals (Wooten and Wright). I considered day one a solid B. Nothing fancy but solid. Day two was an F. Big fat F. And I don’t want to see reports that the front office tried!

I agree Crosby is better head to head against Trey. But Trey plus two first round picks is better than Crosby. Especially this year’s pick being at 14, which should be starter for most teams.

I have been a huge fan of Hunter Greene. Loved the contract extension he got years ago for him and the team. Been a supporter through all the injuries and failures in big moments. I can’t do it anymore. The rumors of not wanting to come back after being medically cleared last summer which led to him taking several more weeks to rehab. Plus fast forward to this spring and the elbow issue that will have him sidelined until at least July. Based on all reports out there it does not appear he was upfront and forthcoming with the team about his health dating back to last fall. I usually side with players but I feel like Hunter has put the entire organization in a tough spot this spring and I blame him. I am now hoping he gets healthy and stays healthy long enough for the Reds to trade him during the off season.

Ravens could save the picks and probably money by just signing Trey.
