That winless E-town team has played a brutal schedule and is a much better team than their record indicates. In addition to Glasgow, they have lost to: DeSales #2-2A; Central Hardin-6A (undefeated); Collins #8-4A; North Hardin-6A and LaRue-4A. Beating them, even by a point, is a quality win for Glasgow. The only top 10 team Washington Co. has defeated was in Class 1A. Not trying to take anything away from Washington (I think they belong in the top 10), but I don't see the justification of dropping Glasgow to add Washington. FC is right, the polls are just opinions. The final results will speak the truth.

I'm more familiar with the Western districts: District 1 - Murray would be the odds-on favorite. However, this might be the most evenly matched district in the west. 5 solid programs. District 2 - Owensboro Catholic and Union County should battle for the crown every year. District 3 - Glasgow and Green Co. are at different level from the others. Butler would be the best of the rest. District 4 - In the near future, Washington County and DeSales would be the favorites. Bardstown has a great tradition and should be competitive at some point. Ft. Knox has tradition as well and seems to be getting better. CA-L has been good as well. Could rival District 1 as the most competitive district in the west.

Fair enough. I wasn't impressed with Green either. In my opinion, Monroe and Green will be playing for 2nd on Oct. 22. and predict the Monroe will win that game. I will give Monroe Co. credit in one area, at least the Falcons didn't cancel their Freshman game with the Scotties like Green Co. did today.

That's funny and extremely cocky. Only the people that happen to reside in Monroe Co. think this game is for second place. I think that sometime between October 15th & 22nd we will know for certain. By the way, have you even seen Glasgow or Green Co. play this year???

I have watched Barren play twice and it's going to be a very tough year for them. Barren will definitely come out fired up for this game, because its Glasgow, not because of the Esters deal. Barren's defense is solid but their offense (which has really struggled) will have to find a way to move the ball and eat some clock to keep the game close against the larger, faster Scotties. Prediction: The lack of offense from Barren will force their defense to stay on the field and give the Scotties too many chances. Glasgow wins 47-7.

Glasgow moved the ball inside the redzone 4 times during the varsity portion of the scrimmage but managed only 1 touchdown (missed the PAT). The receivers/backs dropped several passes. Glasgow's defense allowed 2 field goals and looked much more aggressive than last year. The secondary also dropped a few interceptions.
