  9. This is correct...it's just a formality.
  10. You're welcome for the dining tip. Its worth a trip. As far as the game is concerned, I guess we will have to agree to disagree. The only 2 comments I have seen from those that saw both games live were Avg Joe and Jumper Dad. One picked CHC, the other did not pick. As a Glasgow fan, I watched this same team pass 40% of the time last year and do it very effectively. They just haven't had to this year. The "extremely explosive" comment was made with regard to the entire offense...not just one segment. But talk is cheap and respect is earned. It's time to settle this on the field.
  11. Nothing I say will change your viewpoint or that of most of the NKY football fans that read this board. But I will offer my opinion. The CHC vs. Somerset game was very close until mid-way through the 3rd quarter. Somerset missed some key assignments and then completely lost their composure. To say that score (48-14) is an accurate reflection of the quality of the Somerset team is insulting to them. The margin of victory was due to lost composure and their coaching staff failing to make a key defensive adjustment in the 2nd half. But, I do not doubt that CHC is a better team than Somerset. When looking back at the Glasgow/Somerset game, that was the most lopsided 14-7 game I've ever seen. I say that with all due respect to a very good Somerset squad. Somerset scored by returning the opening kickoff of the 2nd half for a touchdown. Other than some late game yardage, Somerset's offense was not effective. In fact, their best opportunity to score was after a first half Glasgow turnover deep in their territory. With an extremely wet/soaked field, Glasgow was very, very conservative on offense. They only ran about 7-8 diferrent plays all night and a majority of those were straight up the gut. Glasgow forced several turnovers, but failed to capitalize on them. In fact, Glasgow only scored on 2 of 6(maybe 7) redzone possessions. Some of that was due to conservative play calling, some of that was due to some timely holding penalties and some of it was Somerset just digging in and playing tough, hard-nosed defense. I just know that the game never really felt close. Somerset's offense (at that time) just wasn't a threat to Glasgow's defense. With that being said, I think you can dismiss all of the Somerset comparisons. As "aptr" noted above: "I don't think I would speculate too much at common opponents. Match ups with personnel change from week to week." That will be the key to this game. Contrary to popular belief (well, at least on this board), Glasgow's offense is extremely explosive. There will be some serious match-up problems for CHC to deal with. Their defense seems to have improved later in the season, particurlarly the NCC game...however, I discount that to a certain degree due to the familiarity between the teams. But looking back at CHC's schedule, who have thay played later in the season that is similar to Beechwood? No one to my knowledge. Glasgow will have the most speed and size of any team on CHC's schedule since the Beechwood game. So, it could be just as easy for me to predict a huge blowout win for Glasgow. We will know for sure in about 26 hours. See you there. Have a safe trip and enjoy Bowling Green. If you like New Orleans style dining, I would suggest checking out 440's on the square. Great atmosphere and fantastic cuisine.
  12. Glasgow has too much speed and size. Look for Glasgow's offense to have a big day. Glasgow-35 CHC-17
  13. HC will have a big problem running their offense. Good luck winning by a few TDs. Statements like that, plus the comments you have made over the past week about the NCC-HC game being the defacto 2A championship game have not gone un-noticed. Look forward to seeing that arrogance on display in BG. Welcome to Bowling Green. Glasgow will be more than happy to show you what Southern Ky football is all about.
  14. This comment couldn't be further from the truth. Outside of the first half of the Bardstown game, Glasgow has played as hard as any team you will find. I'm sure that there are a lot of teams on Glasgow's schedule that would testify to that as well. Looking forward to another tough game this Friday. Glasgow wins 28-7.
