KHSAA has Glasgow Football open. When and why did this take place? Surprising that it's this late.

I haven't heard anything about this. Anybody have any info?

Confirmed, talked to a teacher at Glasgow yesterday that confirmed this.

Rick Wood will be the coach at Glasgow. This is nothing but a retirement from teaching formality/hoop to jump through.

Why does Coach Wood have to jump through the hoop? Why not just retire from teaching and but stay on as head football coach without opening the job up?

Guru, I think its a KDE hoop. Being a retirement, they have to open up his teaching position which as it stands today is tagged with a coaching duty, however they do not have to hire a teacher that will also fill that coaching duty, if that makes sense to you.

I am not saying anything at all is "going on" at Glasgow but I think some of us know of examples from the past where schools have to open a position up for a certain amount of time (a KDE hoop I guess) only behind closed doors the hire was already made. In other words, schools circumvent the system on occasion. Again, I am not suggesting Glasgow is doing anything wrong.

This is correct...it's just a formality.
