  1. PRP forces 3 and out on 2nd Trinity drive. Punt lands on PRP 1
  2. PRP and Trinity each punt on their opening drives
  3. 11:28 left in 4th John Hardin starts drive after PRP touchdown with 2 penalties...backed up to own 10
  4. Final from Doss. PRP led 40-0 late in the 2nd quarter. Running clock began at 2:01 in the 2nd. PRP played JV and Freshmen players 2nd half. Doss scored all points in the 4th quarter.
  5. Even if you added the 4 points for "Martha Layne Collins" to Collins, they would still be in 6th place.
  6. For what it's worth, PRP was playing without its point guard/senior ball handler due to two technical fouls in the last game.
  7. Apparently this young man either missed this bus or something. Central did arrive by bus in earlier games this week.
  8. In most cases, teams arrive by bus. The bus usually drives into a gated parking area at the east end of the gym at Valley and allow the team to enter at the north end of the gym ( in between the new gymnasium and the older school building). For the LIT, there are no passes allowed. All players and coaches must have a ticket to enter ( each team is given a limited number of tickets per round that they participate). The only people let into the game without having to pay are cheerleaders dressed in uniform.
  9. oops....just saw Ballard was on the poll, but I still think Trinity does not belong.
  10. I agree. As for tradition, Trinity has only been fielding decent basketball teams since around 2000. To me, tradition means more than just 14-15 years. I would have put other Louisville schools like Ballard or PRP on this list before Trinity.
  11. Final from PRP. Running clock entire 2nd half. Halftime score PRP 74-22.
  12. Seneca held to only 2 points in the fourth quarter.
  13. Unfortunately, today in JCPS, students are held accountable to the minute that they are in school. Every minute that they are tardy or sign out early is tracked. They track excused and unexcused absences. After 10 parent notes in a year, a doctor's note is the only excused absence. At some schools, students are not allowed to attend activities such as Ring Dance or Prom if they have more than 6 unexcused absences in a year...remembering that minutes tardy and signing out early count toward those six days. The days of students just missing to have a fun-filled experience with their parents are coming to an end due to many many students not making up work when they have been absent in the past. This is a direct result of our local politicians and board of education.
  14. The one change I would like to see is that refs cannot go into a region that their home region will play in the first round of state. We had that this year in the 6th region. The 5th region refs were the officials. Almost every game in the tournament had at least one technical called. One team might get a warning then the other team gets the T. One of the refs was a principal at a 5th region school. If your school possibly could play against a team you are officiating, it becomes a conflict of interest.
  15. Newcath-PRP would be the Final...Newcath has to get by Ballard in the semis.
  16. Butler does not even have a district. They are application only to get a student into the school..like Male and Manual. PRP has a district and has to accept every student that lives in their district.
  17. Boone County scores with 2.6 seconds remaining to set up the final margin.
  18. According to some screwy glitch in this year's playoffs, one team in the third district gets to have a bye and one team gets to play the #5 team from the Northern KY district. However, #1 PRP DOES NOT GET THE BYE.....for some reason, the KHSAA is giving the BYE to the #2 seed Butler and making #1 PRP play Boone County.... Supposedly winning the district is supposed to give a team the easiest way to advance to the next round, but this year, being the district runner up in 6A-District 3 gives you an edge over the district champion.... Do you hear the laughing coming down Dixie Highway in Louisville?
