  1. Not sure the Mustangs will have an answer for Curry. Hills is a tough place to play, will be tons of green and white with a hostile attitude. I say hills 28-14 with hills pulling away late. Gonna be a great game! Good luck to both.
  2. If the Panthers had all their cats, then yes, without them no. Without their main speed they become mortal.
  3. I take Ballard in the upset shocker...too many horses for T to account for. Coach Jackson and company will exploit any weaknesses. Ballard 21-17.
  4. Such as? They beat a very down Frankfort team (riddled with injury), lost to a not very good E'town team (who got pounded by Shawnee), played with a middle of the road 4A team in West Jess (still lost this game), beat a not so great East Jess team (though East has had moments where they looked decent), Montgomery is not a good football team and they lost that ball game...just curious who the teams were that were "much better than Henry"?
  5. Have yet to see him outcoach anyone since at FC (has had the better athletes in several games this season). Your right, Teegarden deserves all the credit for having his kids more prepared and putting his team in better position to execute and ultimately win the game. Call a spade a spade.
  6. I believe this is the 2nd district title in 4 years under Coach E, and the 3rd or 4th district title in school history?? (someone can correct me if I am wrong). Good win for the Cats, but going undefeated in your district would be a nice feather in your hat considering EVERYONE picked you as the dead horse in the district this season.
  7. They didn't have Ammons the last 2 years? The only way Stepp will win at FCHS is by creative scheduleing. Then again if you can't beat PC (no slight on PC, but FC should always be the fav) then scheduleing isn't going to get much easier. They had YOUNG athletes (Ammons was a frosh, and his supporting cast were Soph.), yet they won and made the playoffs in a much tougher district. Coaching plays a part at some point...that point was last night.
  8. Prisons are full of potential. PT has fallen FAST since Perry left. I would expect a coaching change...just speculation, but this is not the PT that this state is used to seeing dominate! Good luck.
  9. Correct, would rather not see Hills again...good football team.
  10. FC has hit rock bottom. How long will they keep Stepp. They ran off a VERY good coach and now look what they have. Stepp can say what he wants, but the cupboard was nowhere near empty. There is talent there, maybe not District Champs, but enough to beat PC and have a respectable season. This reminds me of 2002, not good for Flyer nation. I know I am being really negative, but it's just a tough pill to swallow.
  11. I'll take North in this one, SC is even more one-dimensional than North. Sloppy track will level the feild with SC's speed...North by 10
  12. I hope people mistake HC for finesse. They lined up in the "I" against Owensboro Cath and rushed for nearly 300 yards. They rushed for over 200 against North. So we can call that finesse if we want, but I call it smash mouth. Hills has been running the "I" not power I, since the first game against Woodford, wouldn't call it new found. I think they have done so in EVERY game this year-but I would also call that smash mouth.
  13. The highest indicator of successful schools is school climate...more kids play sports, more success, higher school climate-this is a FACT. Not many schools in this state are considered "successful" by NCLB that don't also follow suit with successful sports programs. Highlands-Bardstown-Beechwood-Mayfeild-E'town...etc. Can name MANY, also have successful sports programs...across the board. Just something to think about. Why is Texas football so good, yet they have good schools? They often go hand in hand.
  14. Go watch the North film, tell me he was a non-factor there? He's healthy, you better be sending 2-3 to block him and hope that's enough. No broken backs, arms, or anything else. Will see how this plays out on Friday! :taz:
  15. Obviously someone does, or there wouldn't be a statement about who was missing. :thumb: Can't wait to see your prediction. Who cares?! :madman:
  16. I take the Colonels by 28. Coach Brown won't run the score up, classy guy.
  17. Glasgow has made strides, but Monroe is still the force in the district. Monroe 35-7
  18. Butler played with a fractured back and their all district nose played with a buldging disc. Starting TE had a brusied splean from the week before. May (another starting LB, was playing with a fractured bone in this shoulder I believe). This is the insight I got from an archived newspaper online. They also had lost 2 starting OL. One with an ACL tear and the other with a broken hand during the North game. Starting RB played with a torn miniscus. Again, just what their newpaper writer reported-not sure about accuracy so don't butcher me. Sounds like they were far from full strength though.
  19. Hills doesn't have the kicker they had a year ago (onside kick won't be an issue this year) and Henry has Mr. Butler healthy. HC is a tough place to come out with a win, I'll take HC by 7.
  20. If Trimble can stop the powerful run game of EHS then they get the win.
  21. South got a HUGE win last week, but the Bearcats will be too much. AC 49 SO 0
