I know. Its not by football. They are in it because some smaller school declined. The all A takes the smallest 125 that accept an invitation. Which means that some 2 A schools didnt accept and it made it to Russell. Who accepted so they can feel good about beating the smaller schools. :laugh:

Russell shouldn't even be in it. They complained a few years ago in football because a TRUE 3A team wasn't against them in the playoffs. Now they have dropped to play the small A schools in this tourney.

That's always been the problem there. They think they are a football school and seldom support baseball or basketball. Oh they will if they are having a great season. They've had some real good baseball teams here in the last 5 years. But usually only parents and a few girlfriends at the games to watch. It's time to support baseball there. Get a baseball first coach and start teaching fundamentals. The majority of our players are now learning baseball through the Russell little league system. The community needs to re-establish its youth baseball programs and prepare these young Rams for baseball at the higher levels. Go watch Raceland practices, very little teaching. they hit infield,some outfield, and let kids get a few swings in the box off of Hoof. They should work on things like run down plays and hitting the cutoff man. Let the kids face live pitching from their pitchers.(they do get to sometimes, but not enough). There's another decent group of young players coming up. Hope they are fined tuned and ready to represent Raceland. Would love to see Raceland get to where they can compete with the very good teams in the region.

Lady Rams advance to regionals with a win in the first round of 63rd districts. An all around good game by all the Rams.

Don't know why he would. GC went to the line more than Raceland. The officials blew a call which allowed GC to get a half court 3 at the end of the first half. The GC kid not only walked to throw it up, but he didnt get it off before the buzzer. This was a great game, the better team won. The officials did not favor either team.

With over 600 students they are far from an A school. The touchstone All A doesn't hold this tourney to just single A schools any more(although that was why it was started). It's all about making money.

Was a good game. Racelands starting point guard got into early foul trouble. This really hampered Raceland in breaking Russells physical press.

I saw where Raceland only made 4 of 14 ft's. That is horrible. Rams need to work on hitting the freebies.

Raceland turned the ball over way too much. Had to be close to 20.

Russell's radio people said Farley threw for 330. Rams hold Russell to a total of 239 yards.

Devils will win. Raceland can't beat a good team.

Keep Farley at QB and Raceland will have a chance.

The bad snap over the punter's head set GC up on the 1 yard line for their 1st td. Little mistakes like that need to be fixed.

about to lose their 6th time out of 7 games to the lowly Padres. The Padres didnt have 1 player hitting .260 in the lineup today,but have pounded Reds pitching this series. The Reds have given up, no heart.

The Reds need a SS.CF, and a power hitting OF for next year. Get rid of Hernandez also.Keep Votto,Bruce,and BP. Look for upgrade everywhere else.

Done,Done,Done......... no need to trade any starting pitching away. trade Rhodes and weathers and EE. Bring up some young kids so we can at least watch players play inspired ball. 1 hit tonight. This current team just doesnt care any more.

Other teams are using the reds to get on track. The Phillies were in a slump when they got us, and the Cubs were slumping too. The Reds didnt even face the Cubs 2 best pitchers.

The Reds need guys that can at least hit their weight. 2 hits today is just terrible.

The Reds are just a group of bad players. Toronto's second baseman has more home runs than anyone for the reds. This is a low average hitting team that can't hit homers.
