If you watched them both play high school ball, not judging on where they play(ed) college ball all at, Zimmerman deserves to be higher on any list than Krebs. IMO the best two point guards in this past decade in NKY were Zimmerman from NCC and Nestheide from CovCath and both deserve to be mentioned as top ten players of the decade. Krebs was a great scorer but Zimmerman could do alot more all-around.

Highlands by 2. Just think Cru will be more ready than the Birds but the talent HHS has will be too much to allow this upset. But I'm counting on a very exciting game.

Another game I can't believe hasn't been talked about yet. These would be my #1 and #2 teams in the 11th this year along with the four best players in Guyn, Jackson, Fucci, and Barksdale. I think this game will rank among the most intense in December. I'll take Scott Co. 67-63 in a tight one.

Earls missed the Walton-Verona game completely and only played a few minutes against West Jessamine. I would expect about 5 or 6 minutes against NewCath but Montgomery and Brown probably getting the majority of his regular playing time.

Can't believe theres no talk about this game as both are undefeated members of the 9th region top 5 (yes, I know its early but its still worth noting). NCC coming off blow out victory over Holy Cross. Boone coming off rough week with a two point win over Ryle, a dog fight at Walton-Verona, and an overtime thriller against fellow top 25 team West Jessamine. This game is also a matchup of arguably the two best point guards in NKY in Gabbard vs. Pangallo. With all of this being said, who wins this early season bout between 9th region undefeateds?

Stamper and Cox, as usual with Knott, put on a shooting clinic. McCreary had horrible time with the press, making stupid turnovers. Watts kept it from becoming a blow out, though there was never really a moment in the 2nd half where I thought McCreary could win.

Both programs are in rebuilding stages, but CovCath is closer to returning as a top-tier team in the region, maybe even by the end of the year if they progress well enough. And I'll always try and stray away from any upset picks involving a visiting team to CovCath on a Friday night, so I'll go CovCath 67 - St. Henry 52.

With that said, Popp didn't play the first quarter. If he starts and plays the first quarter like he did the rest of the game, Boone could have controlled this game instead of it being a dogfight.

Lexington Catholic and Mason Co. are riding their regional titles still. I know I'm in the majority when I say they won't repeat, but I would also go as far to say that neither is a top 15 team. If anything I'd think Mason could possibly stay around where they're at in the polls right now, but LexCath I think is at least ten spots too high.
