Should be a pretty close vote......I think it comes down to how much team accomplishment is factored in (whether it should be or not, it will for some). If it comes down to that, Penn is the winner with 2 state championships to this point. If it comes down to individual ability (which is probably more what the award is intended for???), then that makes it pretty close to dead even in my mind. Has there ever been Co-Miss Basketballs?

Probably the only game that was supposed to be competitive (NB-CAL) was a little sloppy with poor shooting from both teams with CAL making the last run to win. The other 3 games went as most figured they would.

No. Butler, Male, Sacred Heart, and Manual just to name some from Louisville that are better......not even thinking about the rest of the state.

Competition brings out the best and worst in people. If this was an isolated event where emotions boiled over, I can see stern consequences being levied. But I think termination could have been avoided!

It's the same way with all sports----coaches arent making much money and are in some cases getting their teaching duties added to, not subtracted from. That's why the turnover is like that of a fast food restaurant. Coaches get into it knowing what they are going to make.....but after a while alot of them figure out that they are costing themselves, their families, their futures time and money by staying in it. It is noble to want to help the kids out, but at what expense?

Rankings are fine.....but when people start whining over where this team is and who they should be ahead of and behind....it makes absolutely no difference where you are ranked. Maybe someone can clarify.......but I dont think they are used for LIT seedings or anything. For boys, that is a computer generated pick based on record, strength of schedule, with a few extra measures thrown in. For girls, it is based alot on what you did year before, record up to January of current season, and strength of schedule. Someone that knows tell me if I am wrong on this? You are free to discuss whatever you want to on the board, as am I. Just know that the rankings mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING when it is all said and done!

Deny, Deny, Deny. But do me a favor......count the ones that did not live in Kenton County for a year prior to starting their basketball careers. Can you think of one now? Hmmmmmmmm...... I am glad it is like it is........just makes Trimble County victories and trips to NKU sweeter!!!
