I guess the super 25 agrees with BGP.

Scott County has some really interesting game scores. A lot of computer rankings have them really high...will be interesting to see how they play against some of the better competition.

Not sure how Campbell isn't in the top 20. USA Today and Likenhous both have hem in the top 20 ahead Ryle.

Campbell 1-4 vs current ranked teams with the 1 win being over a Ryle team playing without Maddie Scherr.

Best in state win (other then ryle) is???

However I believe Campbell is a quality team. They have 6 games remaining vs currently ranked teams so Campbell will have plenty of chances to prove they belong on this list.

Besides Ryle and Mercer both beat Mason County and Ryle was without Scherr and they and that gets them a top 20 ranking. Campbell has went toe to toe with some of the top 20 teams already this season and only a few points was the difference in those so they have proved even with the loss of 8 players from last years team that they can compete and deserve a spot in the top 20. Looks like USA Today and Likenhaus both disagree. Just saying.

Yeah, well, you know, that's like your opinion...man.

Who has Highlands played or beat, who has GRC played or beat, who has Scott Co and Holmes played or beat in the state? USA today and Likenhaus reward your schedule and how you've played those teams. Campbell Co is rewarded in those polls for these factors.

Who has Bullit East played and beaten is also a good question.

All polls are opinions. This poll is not just my work, but a work of people all across the state thats hashed out each week over and over. You can use computer rankings or these polls. After the first 5/6 there are tons of teams that could beat the others on a given night. If you like those polls then by all means use them.

Ryle has wins over Mason, Sacred Heart, Eastern and Murray. That earns them a top 20 ranking.

I went back and looked....Campbell Co. started the year ranked #18. Lost 3 out of the first 5 (two of them to unranked at the time teams) and dropped out of the rankings. Since that time the only quality win they have is against Ryle (which I guess had Scherr just coming off injury).

Campbell has played some other ranked opponents close and is clearly a quality team. BUT they don't have the wins over those quality opponents yet. Like I said earlier, it looks like their schedule stiffens up and they are going to get a chance to play their way in. Time will tell.

And please with the computer rankings...those rankings are a good indicator of a teams general strength but should not be taken as the bible of rankings. So called computer ranking #5 Scott Co got beaten by unranked Madison Central last night. Scott is a quality team, but in no way are they #5 in the state. Those computer rankings give too much credit for blowing out bad teams.

Who has Bullit East played and beaten is also a good question.

BE has lost 4 games. Two to MALE, one to Butler and one AT Henderson Co. ALL top 10 teams.

They have won every other game they've played including quality wins over ranked or previously ranked teams Southwestern, South Warren, Campbell and Eastern.

They also have one of the best players in the state surrounded by a veteran team that's been through the wars.

You can be 0-30 going into districts and win the state championship.....so rankings mean????

You can be 0-30 going into districts and win the state championship.....so rankings mean????

First, no team that's 0-30 will win a championship. Has a .500 team ever even won?

Second, rankings do matter in seeding for things like the LIT tourney. All ages, sports use them. Should the AP college poll and USA Today poll be thrown out? Waste of time?

Third, it's about discussion, that's the whole point of this forum. So the more appropriate question is, Why are you on this forum if you don't want to discuss how the teams stack up vs each other?
