Where would Boone County be without Moss? Moss is a great player! But I would like to know what exactly are you saying, that Boone County could not compete without Moss! That all the other players can't play. Please explain your statement.:idunno:

You are totally correct! One player does not win the game! Each player on the team has a job to do. Who knows if Boone would or would not of won with or without Moss! Sometimes players can pull out wins in situations that are very hard to believe, its called having alot of heart when you play! We are very happy she is at Boone, she is a wonderful person as well as athelete and brings much more to the team than just her athleticism!

Like i was always told when i was a young girl it doesnt matter if you win by a inch or a mile a win is a win. and boone showed it 3 times that ryle cant beat them. and Nell doesnt need to ask why ryle is close to them because ryle is a great team with alot of players who have alot of heart for the game and wont give up they just lacked experience and next year they should be big favorite but dont count boone out next year either.

This will be a exciting tournment for theses girls especially for the ones who havent been here before but from top to bottom of the bracket my first round predictions are (Henderson county. Marion county.) (Rowan county. Anderson county.) (Boone county. Scott county.) (Rockcastle county. Ohio county.) I have the parenthesis around the teams that would play in the second round if my predictions are right.

how can you say if crittendon hits her average then ryle wins by 6. what if sandlin hit her average of 8 a game and strout hit her average of 12 a game then it would be a rebel win by double figures. and Moss is a smart player she never has fouled out since i've watched her play and thats aau ball included where she has played against bigger names than her. so I'm just in shocked that people take away from her game and say she does what she does cause of her name. Its just so sad :confused:

Ryle did well to keep it close with number 35 on the bench but i just dont understand how you can say they know they can beat them when boone has came up with two wins in two tries... And about the Refs i thought they did a good job for the most part i mean they missed a few here and there on both sides but if they made every little call the teams would be in the bonus the whole game. Also the charge call on jenna was just so plain and clear to see i dont understand how anyone could see different. AND saying that about Sydney is just so unfair to her she cant help the name she has and to say she gets free passes from her name is just unbelievable she is a great player and still would get the same numbers with or without the last name Moss.she is just such a smart player. and when the ball is in the air and she goes and gets it doesnt make it over the back. The last thing i wanna say is... dawn johnson she is a great defender probably the most aggressive i've seen beside the girl from ncc and for only being a freshman it just amazes me how tough she is!

I agree they were delt a very bad hand. HHS, NCC, Boone and Ryle are all deserving to go to the Regionals! Katie Allen and B. Towels should be there too! Maybe someday, the rules will change and all Districts will be seeded.

I like the Rebels in a battle to the end. There hasnt been to many teams to play boone as hard as Ryle did but i like the Rebels 64-60 at the end of regulation this time. Also, no matter who wins this showdown this game will still be a good game for both teams to get ready for the region.

I agree 2 great programs. i wil pick ncc by 3. Not to take anyting away from this but has anyone stepped back and really looked at this senior class from all over this area trully 1 of the best classes to ever play girls basketball good luck with great futures the class of 2010 girls basketball, you have trully entertained us all.

Boone actually has 4 ball handlers most people are unaware of this because they havent needed them. I think boone will do great on the college floor as 6 of those girls are aau players and have been on college floors alot.I agree the teams have toughened up in the second half of the year, but boone has basically played 2 games lately with Moss 18 mins. or less. I think with the experience of Boones 3 seniors they pull this out. I just think its so sad 3 great teams are in the same district because they are all deserving to be at state(Boone, NCC,Ryle).

I WILL STICK WITH BOONE COUNTY RETURNING TO THE SWEET 16. Any other thoughts?

Hey boones record is 21-3. HEATHER SANDLIN, CORTNEY SELLERS,JOSCELYN DAVIS AND OLIVIA FIELDS were great together for 1 last time on boones floor together.Sandlin and Sellers played great defensive game, I dont think they would have lost to anyone tonight after all it was there Senior Night. You girls will trully be missed what a great class of young ladies as well as athletes

Boone County is playing Sacred Heart at 7:30pm at Boone County. It is Boone County's Senior Night.

Glad to hear Heather Sandlin getting the notority she deserves. Now if we can get the other two seniors the much deserved attention they should get(Joscelyn Davis and Cortney Sellers). We tend to forget that Joscelyn was the biggest girl for Boone Counties starting team last year, and went to the elite 8. Watch Sellers and Davis work together on help defense. They are real work horses.

Okay saying any sport was a little broad on my parts sorry about that. I forgot about all the great football programs and coaches. But from a basketball coaching stand point in this area no one has done what she has done!

Legend in her own mind? Thats really funny. She is the winningest coach ever in northern kentucky, she has 18 district titles, 7 regional championships and 6 runner up finishes. and yes your right about how many titles she has won in the state tournament, but how many other coach from this region in any sport have won a state title? and this is the 6th ranked winningest coach in the state ever.

Sydney Moss is a unique player she is good at all area's of the game and last night showed that well. Not many girls at her age or at the high school level can finish the way she does around the goal. She can finish with her right hand as well as her left. The first time i seen her play over the summer i thought she was right handed because of how well she could finish around the goal. And I'm taking nothing away from Jenna she is a very good player and will be at the D-1 level and she has a great turn around shot and a very good 3 point shot but last night proved who has the upper hand in this head to head battle between to great talented players. Sydney had 32pts 16reb, Jenna had 19pts 7 reb which was a season low for Jenna in rebounds. In the second half Moss guarded Jenna and held her to 6 or 8 points i believe because if i dont recall Moss had 15 in the first half and jenna had 13.

If you are a coach and see your player get slammed to the floor and see her hit her head hard. Then the opposing player laughs afterwards. What are you suppose to do as a coach? Protect your players! and thats what Coach Fookes did right there! The ryle player should have been ejected from the game no question. That should not be tolarated in any type of basketball game, theses girls could get hurt out here!

A Ryle player slap another player in the face and smile about it! That should on been a TF or at least a foul! Thanks Nell for standing up for what is right!! It was a great defensive game for Sandlin and always a great offensive game by Moss! When Jump is held to 5 points, thats a great defensive achievement. Congratulations Boone! Great Win even with so so refs!!!

Thursday the girls from Ryle will shut her down and walk away with a W:banana: Well if they shut her down, that leaves four girls wide open for Boone and its hard to win that way! I guess we will see on Thursday!

Sydney is on a loaded team and a very happy person. It was a shame she could not do that at Ryle!

With Sydny Wainscott out with injury, Ryle will have the upper hand. Ryle's inside game is stronger but not the guard play with Wainscott. SK will pressure and may upset Ryle. I will go with Ryle by 8.
