I agree. Actually Ryle did well to keep it close with her on the bench. Ryle knows they can beat them in the Regionals if they face them again.

 

I think Moss gets too many free passes from the Refs based on her name/reputation.

Thanks Sonny. For the refs to take Crittendon out of the game is pretty sad. As I've said in earlier posts, you can call a foul every time down the floor. One of the refs decided early on that they weren't going to called against Moss. I take nothing away from her game. She is an offensive machine but she fouls as often as anyone else on the floor. Moss scored over her average. If Crittendon hit her average Ryle wins by 6.

:thumb: Let Crittendon play like they let Moss play and Ryle wins. Watch the same body contact that was called a foul on Jenna and no call vs. Sydney. Pathetic refereeing job. Let's hope for out of region refs if they get a rematch.

And, congrats to Boone. Ryle had chances to win in spite of getting less than their share of breaks from the zebras.

What a great game! Boone played very well and Sydney had some very nice rebounds and put backs. They passed the ball well and broke Ryle's press getting numerous layups. Sydney kept her cool and had another great game. The team just needs to decrease their turnover number.

Obviously these two teams are within a gnat's hair of each other.....regardless of reffing it is time to simply advance and play. Congrats to Boone (my regional winner pick), and good luck to both.

Crittendon in foul trouble definitely hurt Ryle. By what I heard after the game she must struggle with this. She sure hustles on floor.

She has size, quickness and a grand touch......makes her special for sure.

Mack, as an unbiased observer, what did you think about the effect of reffing on this game? It's obvious how I feel.

 

I am not one to bash officials as I think it is a thankless job. Other than a couple of cheap fouls on Crittendon I had no problem with the overall officiating. I consider Tim O'Hara one of the best in the business.

Coming from the 8th to watch this matchup I was dissappointed Crittendon did not get to play more.

One more thing. I, for one, did not see Moss foul a lot. I am assuming some wanted over the back calls, but once the ball is on the board it is up for grabs. Hopefully these two play one more time.
