Yes well that is what happens when superintendents try to run athletic coaches choices....notice the last few head coaches all have one certain connection.........:puke: Bellevue needs to get a coach who wants to put time and effort into the program. They had one but the last two well......you see the results.

Very true. NOt a very good team and really struggling right now. The Black and gold Tigers need a win in the worst way.

As usual I am sure this will spark debate on running up the score. Honestly you can keep from scoring 100. 5 passes before a shot, delay and working on your offense and not allowing a shot until you can run your offense for 30 seconds, lots of stuff that does not make you quit playing.........This is not good.

Beechwood is a great team this year....Any stats for the Tigers (both)?

Well unless you are in practice everyday (that making you a coach:lol:) then I am just stating what I have been directly told........... I appreciate the info on the team how is the jv doing this year?

And no one except thedudeabides (barely) has addressed the talent point I asked........is there talent coming? Is in in its down cycle for awhile? I would be more interested in the answers to that.......

Well it will be interesting how all this plays out.............People do have to start somewhere good coaches and bad coaches alike. Just making observations about not doing much of anything to help the cause on the bench. I respect all opinions whether they agree with mine or not. And the assistant is new to coaching not just to the program and my point was getting Coach Sorrell a more experienced coach would have helped in on the bench.

Yes and my previous statement was exactly the same as my last one. Um.....and I would call myself very informed when it comes to this issue. I cannot help that you defend Bellevue no matter what they do.

Thedudeabides all I did was ask a question about the program and my limited observations. I asked for opinions. I assumed that was ok to do? Truth be told he has no help on that bench and the team is underachieving terrribly. He has talent and I was trying to see if others felt the way I did without being too critical. Not sure how you do your math but if you go to the KHSAA website Bellevue has beaten 3 teams twice Newport Silver Grove and Beechwood. Now unless they are not posting scores I stand by the statement that they have beaten 3 teams this year 2 times a piece.

There are many hold backs in Northern Ky. also. Guys I hate to say this but it is true.

Yes you are right they could have gone either way.........Bellevue is not showing much ability this year at all.

In the 9th the toughest year in and year out is the Holmes Covcath Holy Cross district and with Beechwood turning it up this year makes 4 quality teams. If Holmes was its normal instead of being great this year what a great district tourney. Still should be some great games though.

Good questions thomasmoredad............But sometimes when you have a new head coach you need to get them a better assistant to help get through the first couple years. Do not necessarily agree with you Geez on it being an improvement from a coaching stand point but I could be wrong.

JBC good points. This is a good gate for a small schools. An NCC will usually bring a good crowd which is much better for a Bellevue than an 8t hregion school that nobody shows up for....

Very true building money does not flow much through the private schools......anyway back to the game.......is NCC playing any more consistently on the offensive end? Somebody fill me in on what they are doing at this juncture in the season.

Was not blaming the assistant so I want to be clear........do not even know who she is......my point was more did they not give him enough basketball experience on his bench to help him through the first few years of being a head coach. I think he can be a really good head coach as he learns the trade......Sorry for the misunderstanding.

No that is not what I am saying. Coach Sorrell is a young and new head coach. That means the role of the assistant is vital and that is more the point. Any new coach needs as much support and knowledge from his/her assistants and after observing twice this year I am seeing no help for him at all. That is not the whole issue so I pose the question.....

With a record of only 6-10 and having actually only beaten 3 teams (Newport, SG, and Beechwood 2X each) who are 3 of the worst teams in the 9th region........is there a lack of talent or has the coaching change made a huge impact on the program. I realize the new coach has an assistant who has no coaching experience and does not look to contribute much.....but this was a team that I think people thought would be a little more competitive. Coach Sorrell seems like a very knowledgeable coach. What is your opinion...?

Tubby has zero responsibility towards this team. Man I wish the UK faithful would just let that be. Gillispie came in knowing what players were here, who was being recruited, etc. You say I do not want this to become a Tubby thread then take shots at the man. Look back and even the last several year he had some big time recruits come in. Some went NBA, some were busts, and some played real well last year........I mean he did recruit the Rondo's, Morris's, etc of the world. What Gillespie does NOT DO WELL is coach the talent he has and give them the best chance to win. He is going to coach his style and system regardless who is there. Now when he gets guys that fit his style better then fine but sometimes (as any good high school coach will tell you) you have to adjust to the hand you are dealt and he certainly does not do that. Col. Crazy we do agree that these guys do not fit Billy's system well. We will see that in 2 years!!!!!!!

Not tough when you only seat 700............Has Brossart expanded any...it has been years since I saw a game in the gym.
