I don't think it's been mentioned yet, but I feel the obvious answer has been overlooked. Since beginning to play at Marshall Stadium in the 2005 season, Trinity has a record of 96-11. While this is probably more a factor of the competition faced by the visiting team rather than the stadium itself, a road win in St. Mathews has been very tough to come by. Male has tasted victory twice at this venue, and remains the only Kentucky school to have done so. Were it not for the Shamrocks aggressive schedule their home record would easily be the best in the state, and I'm not sure it isn't anyway.

Apollo will lose by 20-30 points.

Aces will hang half a hundred on the Rebels and probably win by at least 5 TDs.

Owensboro QB Gavin Wimsatt probably deserved some consideration for being listed among the players of the week. He was 15 - 22 passing against Apollo for 305 yds. and 5 Tds. He also added another TD on the ground. Looking ahead at their remaining schedule, I don't see them losing to anybody with the exception of maybe Henderson Co. But they get that game at home so I feel like they will be favored. The Red Devils D is only allowing 4.25 pts. per game.

Based on past weeks results so far this season, I wouldn't expect this to be much of a game. I don't think Owensboro will have much trouble with Apollo.

Evansville Central was the 5A runner up in Indiana last year. That being said they did lose some key players from that team. The lost their season opener 28-12 to Terre Haute South Vigo, (per Maxpreps ranked #5 in 5A) so it's not like they lost to a bad team. Owensboro has some key players injured. This should be a good test for both teams. I will be at this game tonight.

It's been that way at least since 1990 when I first attended the school, so either AB / InBev doesn't care or it hasn't got on their radar yet.

Well Apollo may be one of 17 schools with the Eagle mascot in the state, but I'd bet their the only one that was named so because of the lunar module instead of the bird. The school opened in 1969 and took it name from the Apollo 11 moon landed that occurred that same year with the lunar module named the Eagle. Of course you'd have to infer that as their current logos all feature a bird. But I guess it was easier, since that way they could steal a logo from a beer company instead of coming up with something original.

Your notion is correct. There are a handful ofother high schools with Polar Bears as a mascot.

I haven't been excited about a movie in some time. But this trailer did it for me. When the theme music kicked in I got cold chills. I can't wait. Will probably try to see it on Imax.

I'm pretty sure that Owsley is out for the season with an ACL injury.

And the gap between the top 3 to 4 is fairly substantial as well.

Michael Hanley from Apollo would be on the team. Biggest question would be what position to play him at.

I was only a freshman his senior year, but I don't remember Zane Beehn playing linebacker. I know he played DL at UK and in the NFL. I agree that he should be on the list but maybe at another position.

Both Apollo and Daviess Co. beat Owensboro in 2017. That's seems competitive enough.
