Highlands has brought their "A Game" on all twelve occasions this year. It appears it's JC who left theirs at the house four times this year.

The gentleman on with Don Weber doing the preview show for tonights games said he would not be shocked if Dixie won.

Ya know Cov. Cath. if they survive Woodford County, which I think they will, might get by an overated Johnson Central team next week who allowed Scott to put up 40 on them. The result would mean a meeting with the Birds at Highlands on 11/21.

It sounds like a pretty wild game.

Woodford Co. is in the game with Cov. Cath. at the half. If Johnson Central gets by Cov. Cath. next week, which now is certainly in doubt, they will have a very, very, long night in Ft. Thomas.

Good luck in the playoffs Cov. Cath! It's a new season. Go make some noise and represent Nothern Kentucky well!! Which I'm sure you'll do.

For those not familiar with Montgomery County the loss to Lloyd could be indicative of a long night. Before we hear, "'The birds better not take them lightly" or "This team is better than their record indicates," or "Highlands better be ready to play," I'm sure Highlands will be ready and well prepared to play. A great game tonight. It was very hard fought. Coaches for both teams were working hard.

Didn't Montgomery County lose to Lloyd?

I'm sure both coaches know what their real issues are with their teams. It's figuring out how to stop people.

I think anytime you're missing key personnel or they're playing in different positions it will have some effect. Unfortunately it will not be enough to equate to a Ryle victory. You will not see the same Birds defense on the field Friday that you saw on the field in the beginning of the year. Highlands will be 18 points better than Ryle at the end of the night this Friday at DCM.

I can assure you there is no intent to me mean spirited here. I'm just totally impressed with the effort of the linemen is all. These guys get very few props. Being shown nationally is good stuff for these guys.

The usuals for Highlands were good, but what is most impressive is #51 Hahn for the Birds getting all the way down field with Collinsworth. That's a great effort. Excellent post Fishhead. This game will be about working on some new things and refining some old things. A lot of playing time for everyone. Nevertheless if the score is 40-14 you'll from a few out there how vulnerable the Birds are. I don't believe Coach Mueller will have any desire to try to put up some huge number against Scott. That being said when non starters get into the game their effort will be as intense as the starter they replaced. What may look like, "running up the score" is simply kids who work their tails off all year long getting an opportunity to play.

Sheehan is going to be a good one. I envision him catching a ton of balls next year at the varsity level. He will work extremely hard in the off season.

I was being a little sarcastic 75center when I made those comments. But you did illustrate my point that Highlands fans are confident and know that it's about to get even better sooner rather than later. Sorry for the confusion. I guess the green smiley face thing didn't work.

Austin Abner over the last several weeks has made a Highlands a better football team. This team has kept right on going. Not just because of Towles, who is doing a very good job, but because of players like Abner and a countlesss host of others who have picked up the slack. The Highlands offensive line is flat getting it done. I would love read about an interview with one of those guys after a game.
