I think Boyle Co. hosts the District & Lincoln Co. hosts the Region for sure.

We may have to move Lincoln Co. into the top spot now, but I have now seen every top team in the 12th accept Pulaski SW. I have to think that Garrard is still #2 right behind Lincoln.:thumb:

Good luck to Garrard the rest of the way... Those kids earned my respect tonight. They play hard and they are well coached. They were patient and they valued the basketball. I am very impressed.

Garrard had one kid to chip in with 11 points, but I am not sure of his name. The game really wasn't that close at the end after.... Skyler Gilbert hit a 3 pointer to put the Pats up by 7 with 1:45 left on the clock. That sealed the game for the Patriots. They really didn't hit all their free throws in the last minute and a half. Spurlin missed the front end of the 1 and 1, Gilbert was 2 for 2, Allison went 2 for 2, & Edgington was 2 for 4. 6 for 9 and one on the table isn't that great for a normally good free throw shooting team in the clutch. (I was still nervous).

How could I forget... Spurlin hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer at the end of the 3rd quarter to put the Patriots up by 3. I was just reminded. Sorry for leaving that out on my above post.

Garrard was up 14 to 12 at the end of the first quarter. Lincoln took a 2 point lead into half time... I am unsure of the third quarter score it was close maybe tied... Then Lincoln pulls away for the 61 to 50 victory. Evan Preston put on a 1st half show and finished with 30 points for Garrard. But It was the Ethan Spurlin Show in the second half. He finished with 32 points and another double figure rebounding night to show everyone in the 12th region who the player of the year is. Edgington chipped in with 8 points Long had 5 points Gilbert had 8 points & Allison had 8 points and I know atleast 10 boards. It was a great hard fought game from start to finish. Garrard Co. kids played hard and so did Lincoln Co's... ONE GREAT GAME TO WATCH!

The crowd will be large, but nowhere near what it has been for some of the Boyle Co. Lincoln Co. match-ups over the past 2-3 years.

I wouldn't call 1 senior and a 3-4 junior starting lineup a "young team" ... But to each his own.

I think as of now, these rankings are spot on. The number 1 spot is up for grabs on Monday Night in Stanford when Lincoln & Garrard face off. I am looking for a big croud because of the rivalry and the best part . . . . . . . It is free! :ylsuper:

Can you give us the MC starting lineup and grade out from them. I know they start a Soph and Jr. But I thought they had 2 Sr. starters?
