Jones had 4 fouls 5 minutes into the 3rd quarter and was gaurding Shelton. There is no way Jones didnt have 1 foul in 15 minutes trying to gaurd someone 7 inches taller than him. Jones is an excellent player but when he drives the lane he is initiating the contact therefore NO foul should be called against Owen if they are straight up.

I was not ridiculing Jones. I was questioning the referees' judgement and how Jon Jones has all the refs in the 8th region in his back pocket. I agree that Jones is a good player.

When Elliott doesn't force turnovers they seem to really struggle...Teams like Holmes, Scott, and Eastern will not turn the ball over like teams in the 16th region, therefore I do not see Elliott being a top 3 team in the state. Elliott plays extremely hard but the I believe the length and athletes of Holmes, Scott, and Eastern will beat the fundamentals of Elliott.

Notice the trend of Maddox getting fouled? He was given complete and total star treatment all night. Michael Colligan and Collin Gamble both had 0 fouls going into the second half. Owen played a zone, which usually takes away most of the fouls. Maddox and Jones both just lowered their head and jumped into Owen defenders and got fouls called. Gamble and Colligan both fouled out in regualtion. I just don't understand why Maddox gets so many calls...but I guess Jones get so many because Daddy is sitting over there on the bench.

I heard Collin Gamble will be splitting time between baseball and track. I believe Royce Neeley is a very underrated prospect in the 8th region. I hear he has a few small schools interested, maybe Shawnee State University.

Philpot may have done that one game, but I wouldn't put him on the list with the others that consistently produce great numbers for their teams.

I agree 100% they only have 1 loss in the state and that was to the best team (Holmes). Hope they put up a good showing the 27th against Scott Co.

Alright I'll explain to you what happened 2 years ago at Owen....Josh Giles punched an OC player and Knollman called a technical on the Owen player and cost them the game, a #1 district seed, and a trip to the regional tourny. Back to the present, until 2:30 left in the game Henry had shot 22 free throws compared to Owen's 2FT. That is ridiculous.

From what i seen Tuesday he didnt look but about 60-70%...Limped up and down the court and had no lateral speed

GC won the last 2 in close low scoring games but with Trent only being about 70% or less Ii will take Henry by 8... 52-44
