  1. I was being just a tad sarcastic... Agreed that both teams have been struggling, but Dayton is a MUCH better team now than they were early in the year. Mainly because they have made a commitment to defend. If they weren't such a bad free throw shooting team they would have about 3 more wins and the Beechwood game on Monday would have been much closer. Baby steps... I think that it looks much worse for Bellevue to lose this because of the score of the first game, but this Dayton team is completely different. Good thing for both teams is they are very young. Thanks, it's always great to beat Bellevue in anything.
  2. You mean to tell me there scored above 60 in every game this year?
  3. Dayton started hot and held the lead from the first quarter on. Greendevils still have a lot of work to do, but this is a vast improvement from the first time these 2 met. Dayton hosts Lloyd tomorrow evening. Proceeds from the gate and raffle will go toward cancer research.
  4. You may be right, but id bet that most of them are smart enough not to say anything bad about a co worker. And I think most TO supporters have overvalued his stats this year.
  5. From what I have seen from him he is not someone I would like to be friends with...is that a little better?
  6. I"m not sure I agree with the statement that every receiver in the league gives up on routes at some point during the season and even if that were true I still don't think that it is ok to brush it aside as no big deal. Unless you give maximum effort on every single play I don't think you can make the statement that "effort has and never will be an issue with TO." I cannot sit here and say that I wasn't ecstatic when the Bengals signed TO just as I'm sure many fans were. As the season wore on, I got more and more frustrated watching him play. IMHO he quit on more plays than anyone I've ever seen besides Randy Moss. I may have chosen my words wrong when I said "no hustle" because that isn't rue, but I still stand by the fact that he quit too much. As for what I've been watching for the last 10+ years, I've seen a player that has been exiled from every franchise he has played for (minus the Bills). He also hasn't won ANYTHING as the marquee guy (49ers don't count because he wasn't a star yet). And when he did taste a little success with the Eagles he found a way to ruin that also. Maybe I should put it like this, I can't cheer for a guy who obviously has his own agenda above the team's, who has shown time and time again that he has terrible character as a human being and who quits whenever he feels like it. If you can defend a guy like that, that's your problem...
  7. I agree with you, but TO has no right saying them. He's a no hustle, play for himself kind of player. Pot meet kettle
  8. Just want to make mention of it agian...another game with no TO, Carson throws for 4 TDs and has an almost perfect passer rating. Don't know exactly what it means, but too big of a coincidence if you ask me.
  9. It is his brother. He is a legitimate freshman. I have seen him starting at the varsity level for them also.
  10. For the same price? Absolutely! Mike Brown knows that even having TO bad mouth his organization is worth more in press than the salary he paid for him this year. It doesn't matter if it makes sense as long as it makes dollars to Mr. Brown.
  11. Keep mine at 64 year round. It's always easier to heat up than it is to cool down so I don't mind being a little chilly in the winter.
  12. Josh McDaniels...he's the only one that makes sense... I'm sure as soon as he got fired for cheating Mike Brown was salivating
  13. I agree with you that you can't blame them all in him and I would never try to suggest such a thing, but I know of 5-6 that I believe to be a direct result of TO's lack of effort. I am no expert on wr routes but I would think that at least 3-5 more were because TO was not where he was supposed to be. The other part of the equation is Carson's fault becasue he locked in on him many times, but TO was still involved (even if they weren't his fault). That's a lot of ints to be a part of directly or indirectly.
  14. I loved season 5 that just finished up. I have not seen any of the other seasons and found it pretty easy to follow without the back story. I can't wait to go back and watch seasons 1-4!!!!!!!
  15. The Roots- How I Got Over Some of the best hip hop I've ever heard. A lot of inspiring songs and great music and production. Worth a listen even if you are not a big fan of hip hop
  16. I wish they would've dumped him after the Miami game. He's a team cancer that plays for himself and no one else. Great numbers for the time he played, but he never gives his full effort, has aligator arms and after 14 or so seasons in the NFl still doesn't seem to finish his routes. Not that Carson played well this year, but I think its too big of a coincidence that the game that TO doesn't play he has 0 ints...
  17. This gets the most obvious line of the year award...there are a ton of UK fans on here so of course we care more about this one that any of the others. Just because these fans have more invested in this ruling than any other doesn't mean that their posts aren't genuine or that they aren't true. There have been some very good points made about the NCAA in this thread PERIOD. Because it just happens to come from fans that have a horse in the race shouldn't blind you to the point that you come just short of defending the NCAA... And yes, the NCAA does owe this to Enes and every other kid in a similar situation because without them they make no money. We all know that is the bottom line here and in most of the other cases
  18. T.O. may have been right in what he said, but it came from the wrong guy. He doesn't finish plays or fight for balls and he is a team cancer. I know the running game finally showed up, but I don't think its much of a coincidence that the Bengals finally won a game and the big mouth wasn't on the field. I wish they would pay him to stay home. The comments would have meant a lot more coming from someone like big Wit or Dhani Jones, but for Owens to say it just sounds like another excuse on his ever growing list...
  19. I give the official a lot of credit for making the right call then, it would have been very easy to call that a 3 and I doubt he would have gotten many arguments from the home crowd.
  20. Didn't see him, would have made a HUGE difference IMO
  21. I'd like to see reb and ast stats, I'd bet Smith had a triple double. Would have liked to have a better view on that final shot, couldn't have been a half inch from overtime. Really fun game to watch
  22. It is non-sense. Last year was last year, I'm not going to go backwards. There were events surrounding that particular game that made things a little more heated then they should have been and that is also a "general consensus." If you want to re-hash that whole argument find the thread, if not move on like the rest of us... Read the whole sentence before commenting also...it was definitely misleading to say Dayton kept their starters in and kept pressing, unless of course you were talking about last year again I find it pretty sad that you (as an obvious Bellevue supporter) can't find anything good to talk about from the game, but instead choose to throw little jabs at the Greendevils. I guess that's class.... I'll say it again, the boys for Bellevue played hard and together. They did a lot of good things that deserve talking about much more than 1 game from the past...
