Just wondering about your thoughts on what happened. http://www.jessaminejournal.com/stories/2009/10/07/whs.941109.sto

I hope that they give Coach Wise a chance to build what they allowed to be destroyed. Does anyone know who is going to help Coach Wise? I hope he focuses on the middle school down for they need a tremendous amount of work.

I have not seen it posted anywhere, strange.

I don't believe that he left Woodford for a principals job. Everything seems very hushed.

The rumor is true, not sure as to why. He is working in the Franklin County system.

That would make many county people very unhappy. I'm not sure they were fond of him helping Norman when he was there. -

I understand that Whitaker is a finalist for the West job. If it plays out I hope coach has a two guard offense. -

Any news? Any longer and it would seem that the new coach is going to lose the summer. I would expect most of the kids would do football in July. -
Greg Coldiron named Lafayette coach

I think that it is a lack of understanding to believe that only "bad" coaches get fired. Too many times coaches are fired for not having the support of the empowered and an administrator with the backbone to stand up to them. I would hope that the new coach was chosen on merit, meaning that the administration has watched this person conduct themselves in the practices, games, and off the court as well. -

Names passing around West are Ligon from Bryan Station and Seamonds from LCA. Both have expressed interest. -

Well said Tru B 33, any news yet? -
It is not a job where you are going to win early, unless you take the schedule way down. Norman at high school and Rose at the middle school have been the first coaches to teach the girls anything. Too many players in the past have played lacking any fundementals. Besides that administration won't give a coach any time to build.

The question will remain of whether those parties that didn't mind ruining the program the first time have influence with this decision. I hope for the kids sake, not. -

Doing a little research, I believe that it is science, to which they have openings for in the district. -

He has a lot of work to do but Norman and Rose got it heading in the right direction. Good luck Coach Thomas. -

I enjoyed watching Norman's Frankfort teams play, aggressive on both sides of the ball. -

I think that the RIGHT thing to do would be to give it back to Norman. The fact that he would go back proves that it means something to him. He ran camps for the young kids every break and I don't believe I ever seen his car empty, they were always heading someplace to play. -

They only way that Ludlow can remain competetive is to build at the elementary and middle school, hope that you get some good West Covington kids, and then not lose any kids to Covington Catholic. Are they building in the early grades?

I agree Coach, most would rather be the "closer" than the set up man. However in this case FHS needs someone that is going to put all that aside. It is not going to be the job that Chalk and Norman had. It is going to be one that needs a strong commitment to develop the kids in the system. I think all parties need to understand that fact. Like Coach Bucket said, you have good athletic kids that need a basketball program.
